Anybody know this car? I'm bidding to buy-only 90 miles away

Aero426

Have some history on the car back to Jan of 1976 in the DSAC registry.   Couple different owners have registered it through the years.   Mileage appears to be correct.   Looks like a pretty honest car.    Definitely worth a look.

Good luck, are you going to go check it out in person before the end of the auction? I would think it would be worth the trip.

I think I'll call the day before it closes and run over if it's still in my range which it is right now

Well apparently my fingers aren't fast enough and the 2nd to last bid did not buy this one. Good luck to whoever got it-hope they are (or become a member here). In my anger at being outbid with 5 minutes left I maybe made a bad mistake and bought a 65 Barracuda that is original with 45,000 miles-sight unseen. The big question in the house is where is a 3rd one going since you already have my car outside. I don't have an answer for it, but excited nonetheless. Going to pick it up Friday afternoon-only 200 miles away, but not sure where it goes when I get home because the Superbird can't sit outside can it? And neither can the AAR? What about the argument that her 6 year old Ford isn't worth as much-anybody have any luck with that one?

I just learned that 1965 273 motors aren't the same as later models-what else is lying in wait on this?

A383Wing

the 65 motors are the same, it's the heads and intake that are different....intake mounting bolts and holes are different size and angle....

You may get by with good car covers till you figure this out.

Didn't you mention something about buying a new shop?

nascarxx29

273 stick with trans it came with .we tryed another trans and back of crank pilot hole gave us problems.the conv nub is smaller

Did you ever go see the Superbird in person? It would be hard to spend that much money without seeing the car from somebody you didn't know. If it turned out as advertised doesn't seem like a bad price at all.
