Montreal Wing Car

That is an original cone, repaired.
He is using a new one on the Bird it came from that he's restoring now.

Always best to keep original parts and restore.
Repop anything devalues a car.  :Twocents:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Just got off the phone with Gene Gregory. He has a few Superbird steel reproduction noses left at $5500, $7500 for Daytonas.. He mentioned when the ones he has are gone, they are gone. The tooling he had for them will either has been destroyed or will be...

Gene used to have one of his steel Daytona nosecones on the wall at his old shop.

He told me then that it was the last one he was ever going to have because the tooling had been destroyed.

This would have been about 1984/1985.   :scratchchin:

I see that he's still using that same marketing technique.   :smilielol:

Reminds me of a furniture store back home in New Jersey. For over 20 years they were always having a "Going Out of Business" sale. Place is still there. Makes me chuckle.

Gene also told me that he would have a batch of stainless "A" pillar moldings ready "In about two weeks".  :2thumbs:

After calling back every two weeks (At his request) for about six months...  ::)

I gave up and quit calling.  :brickwall:

This was back in 2006.  :scratchchin:

...I wonder if they're done yet ? :shruggy:

I lived in the Trenton area but it sounds like standard  furniture store operating procedure to me.
