The ending of that video is kinda nice. Split the trophy money between everyone to pay for their costs and give David a double share of the money.

Psh.  You wanna do something stupid like run a MEGA horsepower machine on a track/street with NO prep then you wind up in situations like that one.  There is nothing GOOD about that incident and everyone should take note.  Of course, I'm sure the driver and all of his cohorts are being hailed as heroes of the streets, with all of the boy-racers from America to Dubai all lining up to do the same thing...

I don't care for the show.  :Twocents:
All fake and you can't trust anything about it.  :Twocents:

Drag chute still looks good though  :smilielol:

I actually like the show. is it really "street racing"? heck no. its all staged the same as if they were at the track. just no sticky prep every where. they just have curbs instead of concrete barriers, and the cars are closer to each other.

if it has cars, and is about cars, i'm usually watching.

1) I hope he's ok.

2) I hope he figures out a better way to mount his seat next time.

Can't help but feel that all the show does is to promote street racing....and that's not a good thing for our hobby or the general public.....There are way to many Jr. , Don Garlits out there that have no understanding of their machine nor the skill to safely drag race....

(And, yes been there done that when I was young and stupid...and got a ticket for "Competition Speeding" for my efforts....)

This show is just Pinks on the open highway......Just my two cents  :Twocents:
1970 Daytona Charger SE "clone" (440/Auto)
1967 Charger (360,6-pak/Auto)
2008 Challenger SRT8 BLK (6.1/Auto) 6050 of 6400

Aero426

Lowest common denominator programming.

yep I did, and trucks, all girls garage, misfits garage, gas monkey garage, barrett Jackson, desert car kings, etc...........  I know, a lot of wasted time.  one that I really thought was a big joke was the Colorado guy that put the ace on the wind shield. kept saying all the best finds were Colorado cars.

I don't think it helps to boost the aura of street racing either.

But that's TV.  Entertainment is escapist by nature.
I just went to the movies and watched Tom Cruise drive a car down a staircase in Morocco while chasing a motorcycle.

Anything that shows street racers having un-staged wrecks can help remind people to think about safety IMO.
