So a friend is having some issues with her 2002 Ford Ranger. Yeah yeah it's a ford I know.

Anyways when starting from a dead stop, she says the vehicle seems to have lower RPM than she remembers and is sluggish. Yet once you reach highway speeds everything is fine. I know not a whole lot to go on but she's cute so I'm trying to be that "helpful friend"  :D

Is it a V6 or 4 cylinder? Could be a few different thing's but I would start with cleaning the throttle body with some throttle body cleaner and replacing the fuel filter. And if the check engine light is on scan it or have a parts store scan it to see what codes it may have in it....

Could even be a worn timing belt, if its stretched and running retarded it would suck at low rpm but kick ass on the highway.. but it depends on what engine she has  :shruggy:
