It has been longer than that. :shruggy: -- I just got off the phone with the dealer and they are looking into any update info. about delivery. (It is in transit and over due a bit).
Hmmm :scratchchin:--so I am a truck driver and have a load of cool cars. It's time to take a break. I've heard about the hellcat and I have one on the truck. :slap:

My ducks are in a row and all I need is for the car to show up at the dealership. I will get a flight and they will send a shuttle to pic me up.

I will post when I leave and of course when I arrive back home with my new/used/broke in  :icon_smile_wink: hellcat.

You're online a lot for being a truck driver.  PPL huh?

I drove OTR for a bit, burned myself out.  150k miles a year in a 68mph truck means the door stayed closed.

Didn't know you were in Oregon?  I fell in lust with a cocktail waitress @ Jubitz & got off the road.  I ran Wilhelm Trucking's 9 axle for a few years before hooking up with Campbell Crane.

I have a buddy too with a red one.  I have plans on making a video of it with my camcorders, should be epic when done.

I never asked.  Is this a factory decal?

Sorry :eek2:---I am not a truck driver ---I was just musing a bit as to what may have happened to the delivery of my car.

Cool to hear you work for Campbell crane. I have met many operators over the years that worked for Campbell. A preferred outfit that the company I work for uses a lot.--now campbell/ness :2thumbs: I work in industrial construction and maintenance for a contractor. --J H Kelly--I've been with them for about 20 years.

As far as that decal goes. :shruggy:  If it is put on by the factory it is new news to me and I do try to keep up with hellcat news.

472 R/T SE

Operator I knew, Casey Marston, quit Campbell & went to work for JHKelley.

I got that big yello/orange Leibherr 360 ton hydraulic crane $3.2 million new, spent a week with factory tech.  It was my 2nd new crane, I was on it for a year when I got hurt.  As much OT as I wanted.  I had life by the "you know what".

Yeah, now Campbell/Ness have a new industrial division.  It's a machinery moving division.  Some big shots with Morgan Machinery came to work for them & that's when they started buying different equipment.  They bought some big overhead gantry that's used.
I can't remember now, while back they were waiting on delivery of a new 650?ton Leibherr.   Those new cranes are awesome pieces of machinery.

Very, very good company to work for.  And I've heard the same about JHKelley.  There were a couple Kelley boys that would stop & have a few beers with us after work when I was at Intel/Hillsboro.  We'd stop at a grocery store north of Hillsboro down from Germantown Rd.

I'm going to do something really gaudy with my hell cat. ---I'm going to drive it right out of the dealership and on to the freeway through South Dakoda, Wyoming, Montana, A snip of Idaho, Washington and home to Oregon. ---Road trip-- :icon_smile_wink:

I got a call from the dealer this morning.--They have received the hellcat. :2thumbs:  I have a flight reserved for the 13th and will meet with them the next am.  ;)

That's gonna be awesome! Are you going to low stick tape the front for easier bug removal? Maybe some cooking spray on the coolers. The coolers are a bitch to get the bugs cleaned out of.

But, at least I got to bring one home.   :yesnod:  My circumstance was that I was transferring the vanity plate from my (former) Hemi Charger to the Hellcat & it couldn't be done on the day I picked it up. So now you know "the rest of the story".

That's awesome.   :2thumbs:   My original order was placed through Roanoke Motors in Illinois & I was really looking forward to flying in and driving it home, but after 7 months, it became painfully obvious that they wouldn't be able to get my car built, so I went elsewhere.

I've been looking and waiting since this time last year for a dealer that would take my order without markup.  I'd all but given up on getting a 2015.
I do feel fortunate especially since hearing about the many folks that had orders in for months only to be told the orders were canceled. :eek2:---So they have to wait some more and I have exactly what I would have ordered if given the chance. Looks like we both  --dodged-- that train ride. :nana:

Hey man, if it makes you feel better about yourself, knock yourself out.  Whatever it takes.  I know they make temporary paper plates to get you home.

Don't think for a second I couldn't get one within 2 weeks?  Here's the thing, you don't know the rest of my story and how I'd do it.  Don't believe me, ask moderator Chris.

But your "at least I got to bring one home" is really a cheap shot.  I have a few buddies with car collections & they're well off.   If there's one thing I can count on them for, it's not being a conceited prick that has money.

I'm really shocked you would say that.   :eyes:

Quote from: 472 R/T SE on August 12, 2015, 03:55:24 PMHey man, if it makes you feel better about yourself, knock yourself out.  Whatever it takes.

Lemme get this straight; you believe that bringing home a new car on a trailer is considered gaudy. Sorry, but that's just weird.

Quote from: 472 R/T SE on August 12, 2015, 03:55:24 PMI know they make temporary paper plates to get you home.

Ummm, they don't have paper plates in my state, which is why I brought it home on a trailer. Yes, I could have gotten real plates immediately, driven it home & around for a few days, then put on my vanity plate when it showed up, but to do that, I would have had to make an additional trip to the insurance company then go to the registry and paid another fee. Why on earth would I want to put myself through that aggravation?

Quote from: 472 R/T SE on August 12, 2015, 03:55:24 PMDon't think for a second I couldn't get one within 2 weeks?

If you or anyone else wants to get one in two weeks or 10 months, I think that's great!

Quote from: 472 R/T SE on August 12, 2015, 03:55:24 PMHere's the thing, you don't know the rest of my story and how I'd do it.

I could care less what "your story" is. It wouldn't be any of my business to pry, nor should it be. But honestly, I really don't want to hear "your story"

Quote from: 472 R/T SE on August 12, 2015, 03:55:24 PMDon't believe me, ask moderator Chris.

You share your financial business with moderators on an internet car forum? That's a bit strange.

News flash: Most people with decent car collections are well off.
