3rd Gen experts...name this mystery part!

I was in the survivor tent at Carlisle and was looking at this '71 Hemi R/T charger and noticed his "thing" at first I thought it was for those rare headlight wipers but as you can see...there aren't any. I've never seen this before. It looks like a relay, going to another relay going to the horn???

What is it and is it original?? (just because it was on a survivor doesn't always mean it came from the factory

Part of a vintage alarm system would be my guess, it looks like there is a switch mounted on the fender apron that would activate it if the hood was opened.

Darn, wish I would have got a better photo. Well that makes sense...was it a factory option? Seem like a real bad location to put electrical items when it can be pounded by rain coming through the grill?

Is it possible that it is the headlamp delay system and the horn happens to be there?  Were there 2 more horns?

My horns are located behind the washer bottle on the pass. side, that doesn't look like a factory horn and my headlamp delay is located under/behind the dash (believe me, I stripped the engine bay last fall. It's wasn't there). Just saying......
My vote is some kind of alarm.

low mileage So-Cal HEMI car (weather wouldn't be an issue) - an aftermarket alarm to keep the goods safe

It could be some home made "horn" alarm, driven by the flasher to make a intermitent horn buzziing like nowdays

Definitely a vintage car alarm.  I was at Carlisle and saw that 71 Hemi Charger in the Survivor tent.  I asked the owner about the odd looking set-up.  He said it was a car alarm that was installed in 70s.
