Valve part# is 2837845. Only Ranco H16 valves can be rebuilt. Some cars came with Everhot valves which cannot be rebuilt. The Rancos are rebuildable but you need to be real careful not to break the tabs that hold it all together. They do pop up on Ebay from time to time for about $200.00 already rebuilt. There is one Ebay member named delcojoe who does a great job on them but again they run about $200.00. Good luck

3 Old Air Products will rebuild your core and re-plate the mounting bracket.
4 You can disassemble and replace the seal yourself. - https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_6601000

The Napa one is ONLY the outer seal, the one I posted has both inner & outer, if you dont replace the inner seal the valve will not close & your AC will not cool very well.

I also believe classic auto air  https://www.classicautoair.com  has a rebuild service for around $200.00. I had a discussion with another member about this roughly a year ago. He was very happy with their work and said the valve works great. There is currently Everco H1281 valves for sale on Ebay for $70.00 brand new. The only issue with Everco valves is they do not have the capillary tube/coil that runs to the bottom of heater box that senses the temperature like the Ranco H16 valve has. I'm sure it will still work fine considering Everco valves were used at factory at some point. Here is the link for those:
