I looked through "Car Guys Discussion" & did about half dozen different configurations of the title but didn't see it mentioned yet so if it's a repost I tried.

The SRT Grand Cherokee was bad ass before.  I bet the AWD makes up for the weight in the quarter.  This is gonna be one wicked little ride.

Wicked "little" ride?

The curb weight would be too stupid for my taste.

2016 Grand Cherokee + AWD + Hellcat motor = probably near 5400 lbs.

That's a 440 Charger pulling a VW Beetle behind it.

I think this topic was briefly discussed.

I have a friend who works for Chrysler in the Communications Dept. in Auburn Hills. He said there are a few Grand Cherokee mules running around with Hellcat engines that engineers are testing.

GOTWING

it doesn't really matter what it weighs it's still nasty fast

From what I understand the GC Hellcat (Trackhawk) may have the fastest 1/4 mile time of them all since it will be able to put the power to the pavement via all-wheel drive.

It's been widely speculated that the current drive train can't handle the power and that Chrysler was waiting for the redesign of the GC before moving forward. However, they have to put all these engines in something. We'll see what the "official" word is.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

There's always gotta be one.   ;)

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 Hellcat Track Hawk?  I don't like the name.  It's not long enough, or masculine enough...

W.R.L. wicked little ride. I like it. Short & simple, just like L.R. T.

It would have been a lot harder to get excited about the 426 Hemi back in the day, if the smallest vehicle they ever offered it in was a C-body luxury yacht.

The Hellcat motor first debuted in a 4400-lb vehicle.  This would be its 3rd vehicle now and each new one is heavier than the last.

I called my friend a few weeks ago who owns about 20 car stores to tell him I want his 1st first GC Trackhawk and he told me that in their previous sales meeting the subject had already come up amongst his managers and they assuming that I wanted the new GC and they already put my name on it ;-) My wife is looking forward to a 707hp grocery getter.

My wife's pretty adamant about getting a HC Charger.   She, I , built it online several times.
