Can anybody tell me if a BF Goodrich 295/50/15 mounted on a 15x8 rim with a 3.75 backspace will fit okay on a 1969 charger with stock suspension

cdr

it should, but not all cars are exactly the same.

With 3.75 back space, I'd venture a "no". The tire will physically fit in the wheel well but the backspace of the rim will need to be between 4.5 to 5.5 to get it under the fender lip.

i have the 295 50 15 on a 10'' wheel that is 5'' back space, so  i have 5'' left on the outside & that = 10'' wide,,, so you have an 8'' wide with 3.75 back space , so that would leave 4.25 on the outside,, should have more room than i do.

It will be tight with 3.75" BS - if they fit at all. The "normal" back space in an 8" wheel for these cars is 4.5" so you're 3/4" closer to the wheel lip. I had a set of American Racing wheels like that and 275/60-15s fit but were close. I didn't rub anywhere but another 1/2" of tire likely would have (about 1" extra width divided by 2). I think 8" wheels are a little skinny for 295s as well. Although, cdr is running 5" BS so he's 1/2" out from stock and you'd be 1/4" from his. Looks like his rides high in the back. If you're at stock height or lowered you'll be closer.

I have seen 325s in a stock wheel well so, in theory, you have some room to move around.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I remember someone running that exact size and it fit.  But different brands do not have identical sizes so it's impoossible to tell until you bolt them in place.  I think it should fit, but it might give you issues in turns with people riding in the back..
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
