For sale in Germany ( E bay ) .............

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Dodge-Charger-General-Lee-original-Filmfahrzeug-/191624478376?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item2c9db57ea8

For sale here is a real movie car, which is known from the US television. An original General Lee Dodge Charger.
He is one of the very few surviving cars and the only real in Europe. There are continual which offered as genuine, but do not have a certificate of authenticity. After further inquiry in L.A. there are currently only a few in the USA, Australia and (this) in Europe. More than 300 vehicles were destroyed when shooting movies. Under the following page he is listed as the original: http://www.realgenerallee.com/sgl1.html. In addition, I have received the COA (Certificate of Authenticity), the film studios of LA. So definitely not a fake. I have a lot of pictures, starting with the construction of the vehicle, on the filming, jumps until now in Germany to US Car meeting, where the vehicle, the magnet at all. The vehicle is, of course, properly taxed. At the vehicle also includes a site: http://stunt-general-lee.de/ that can be assumed by the buyer. The US side of the true Generals want a picture of the current owners with the vehicle in Germany, Autobild want about it still reports as soon as they report on movie cars, etc ... I leave everything to the future owners. You can drive by car, the engine and transmission run, I am therefore already driven to various meetings and in my free time, I ask but to pick up a trailer. The car flew 6 times. Although he was then partially repaired, but Tüvfertig I would not call.
Here is the link to the movie in which you see him fly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6syCBrvmJ68
On the dashboard, the original actor Bo & Luke signed.

LOL, good point.

The car is bent badly by street car/restoration standards.  But by General Lee standards it survived really well for what it went through.  It did more than just the two jumps in those pics.

BTW, the German owner's recent photos demonstrate why it's impossible to judge General Lee orange shades in pics/video . . . .

Lord Warlock

I thought he was advertising as a gen lee from doh, but after the pics I see its a commercial car, how does that increase the value ? the fact that old bo and old luke sat in the car and pretended to be doh again? no sense to me, don't think it should compare to tv show cars or the movie cars but suppose someone wants a hopping charger.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

440

I wonder the value of this car, while it is a commercial car it is likely the last WB licensed car and likely the last General Lee to air on TV. I doubt it increases value much but curious nonetheless.

Ghoste

I wonder if that last approved status will help value down the road?

Maybe the Duke Boys saw the whole Flag issue coming up....which is why they were looking to trade in the General Lee....... :scratchchin:     ::)

The Auto Trader ads:

- had the original Bo & Luke in character.  Maybe for the last time.

- captured the spirit of old DOH better than either of the modern remakes.

- cars built by a known Hollywood prop car supplier.  They were better copies of original TV cars than the movie remake cars, or even the '90s TV reunion specials.

- did as much big stunt footage as both of the TV reunion shows combined.

- probably got as much widespread exposure as any DOH production since the TV series.

Yeah, this car is a POS.  It's just a slammed-together mess that was abused for a few days and then sold off in even worse condition as a trophy.  But you know what?  That's all the original GLs ever were.

If you want a quality street car at a fair price then used prop cars are the wrong place to look.  That's not why people value these things.  People go for their backstories.

Some people go to auctions in Arizona and get into 6-figure bidding wars over a VIN tag too.  It's not so different.

Ghoste

And that commercial generated a lot of interest too Mike.  We had several threads right here.

GL#10

Thats was my Auto Trader GL , and yes thats where it ended up  .

I agree with this. Growing up with DOH, and still being a fan, I would take an Auto Trader GL over a Movie GL. Don't know if they are worth more, but to me, the Auto Trader cars are the next best thing to a series/reunion used car.
