Do you guys use the long or short oil filter on your 440s.
I have a '69 440. Is there a good reason to pick one over the other?

I use the long one because a) that was how they came originally, b) I figure there must be more filter area in there and c) it's easier to get on and off.   :shruggy:

ive used  both  the long & short  filters  ,  prefer the long , extra oil capacity  , (not that I really  need it with a 7 quart oil pan) , but i'm nuts like that .   think the short one has a little  more oil flow ( prolly because of less filter area , just a guess ) , remember reading up on the napa or wix site  site years ago

longer is easier to remove & fit imo

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I've been using the K&N ones myself the last few years which is likely overkill but hey, I'm happy with 'em.

Could someone take a pic of the long filter in there with the radiator hose? My shorty filter barely gets on there and sits on the lower radiator hose. :scratchchin:

Odd. :shruggy:
