Anybody buy anything ?
Any good deals ?
Many projects for sale ?
Many Chargers for sale ?
If you have attended in the past and this year anything noticeably different ?

Just curious

I thought the prices in the swaps were a bit high (I mainly look at Charger parts only). I found a few deals, wiper transmission arms, a wiper 15B arm and a 216 fan but that was it. I didn't see the entire corral area, but I saw a few Chargers, I think there were 2 70's and a 69 500 for sale. They weren't projects though. I had a chance to see some new reproduction parts that I haven't seen in person yet. Mega Parts had the OER repro horns and they looked nice. They also had the repro "070" fan clutch and that looked really nice. Otherwise, the weather and company were great. I posted a link to my pics in the Carlisle thread in the Car Shows area.

It was the best turnout in the showfield and the swap area in the last few years...the Car Corral got pretty filled up on Saturday.

I picked up my AMD order for my 73 charger se  :2thumbs:

full trunk pan
left and right trunk extensions
front valance
rear valance
battery tray kit

I picked up some other misc. repo parts for my 73.

I traded a pair of 72 charger doors I brought up with me for a brand new pair of machine gun tips. ( original plan was to maybe trade for 73 doors in same exc. condition.

I did not see one trunk lid for a 73-4 charger in any condition  :shruggy:

and yes it was not 100 degrees !

more superbirds there this year.

I loved the T/A AAR cars.

I took over a thousand pictures of the event. :eek2:

I thought the attendance was up.
Parts prices were a little higher than previous years.
I made a last minute decision to convert my project car to a console shift. I found a real nice 69 console complete, no cracks, with the shifter and all the linkage for $375.00
I spent 4k on parts for my latest project. Basically bought an entire interior for around $1,800. minus the front seats.
Except for Thursday night the weather was awesome.

Down in the shop tonight. Walking by my 68 I noticed some hand prints on top of the passenger door, looked like someone ate greasy pizza then wiped their hands on my car. When I cleaned the prints off I found some scratches, like someone had a camera hanging from their neck and banged it against the top of the door when they looked inside the car. Kind of disheartening after spending 40 months restoring it.  :-\

I got a couple of great deals when I was out there on Thursday only.  Picked up a 69 only 14" trim ring in near mint condition for only $20.  Picked up a power steering pump with pulley and the correct metal cap with dipstick for only $10.  Also picked up a bunch of Meguiar's products I was running low on as well as some tools.  Missed out on a good deal for a spare pair of 69 Bendix calipers for only $100.  Oh well.  Still searching for a set of full chrome magnum 500 14x6 rims for my Dad's GTX for putting radial redlines on though.  Was really hoping to find them for him out in Carlisle.  Better luck at E-town next month.

That sucks! I know people hate me but I leave the hood, doors, trunk - and many times the windows - closed at shows. Then they have no reason to lean over the car. If any of you saw the red Daytona next to the tent, I watched 2 kids lean back on the nose while their dad took a picture. People are clueless and/or rude - even at a major car show. Don't get me started on cruise-ins...

I honestly didn't take a lot of pictures this year. Normally I have 600-700 to comb through. I walked a couple aisles in the swap meet late on Friday when most Vendors were closed. A lot of guys I know sold out in the last year OR didn't make the trip so I didn't have anyone I needed to see. With the Nats coming up in 3 weeks and close enough to bring a truck for a day I really wait until then to buy parts. Carlisle (for me) is for hanging out with people.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.
