I have a 73 400 magnum in my charger that has sat a lot more then it has ran the last 5 years.  I have a loud high pitch squeal that gets louder as the engine warms up.  I have removed all the belts and the squeal is still there so I know it's not one of the accessories or the water pump.  I pulled the distributor and it spins smoothly.  What else am I missing?  Is there something internal to the engine that could cause a squeal like this?

Had a main bearing squeal until it locked up.  Time for a rebuild

I agree,  I had the same type of thing........ pulled all the belt driven accessories out of the mix....still there.  Tore down the motor and found scored rod and main bearings as well as a stretched #6 connecting rod.  I'd get it before it gets you!
