I am in the welding phase of resto and have three holes near bulkhead.
I know hole number 2 is for headlight vacuum. #1 near wiper motor is a clean well punched hole.
#3 is jagged and looks to have been done with a hole saw, so before I weld anything up looking for input and pictures of anything else that might go in 1 and 3 before I eliminate them.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Joe , welcome . You are correct , your hole number 3  is NOT supposed to be there . Just above it to the right you will see a "dimple" , that is to locate the hole to be drilled if it were an N85 car (tach wire) .
Your hole number 1 is not on all our cars , some had the hole with a plug installed in it ,some did not as mine does not/never had that hole , and is a Oct 2nd 68 build .
What someone did do to your car was hole saw out a stamped little hole used for the pins that hold the non A/C cars firewall insulation . When it was an A/C car , they just put in these little rubber plugs to block the hole . So you need to weld that up and reproduce the "stamped" small hole for your insulation pin .

BTW , my non-mystery hole above bulkhead harness is/was that they bypassed the bulkhead with the main power , so I have to weld that one up ! :brickwall:

Great picture. That is going to be interesting to reproduce. Mine is a 9-03-68 production date
R/T SE White Black top Black interior NON A/C #s engine not trans.
I do have fender tag and sheet.
So I will definitely keep mystery hole and put an original plug in it.
Thanks for your help. You too Kevin!

I have that mystery hole as well, anyone know what body plug fits it? I went through my entire kit and could not find one to fit. I think it's 1 1/2

I shot a pic to Tony at Tony's parts and he said he had never seen that hole before. We stumped even the great Tony!
