Original dealer/invoice research service?

Hi! Is there any service/company which investigates and finds where our cars were bought the first time, and who was the original owner? Thanks!

Maybe a private investigator...but that would be it.

The only way an investigator could track the original owner would be to personally track down the previous owners one-by-one. Awfully expensive for a dubious result...all it takes is one untraceable previous owner and the search stops.

DMV records are usually purged after so many years so that's a dead end.
