The ugly hated rear window louver you could buy in the 70's? Anyone have pics of these in their files? (Yes I am thinking of something.... :scratchchin:

Ghoste

I have a photo somewhere of a 2nd gen with louvers but I wouldn't even know where to start looking for it.  That was a loong time ago that I saw it.  Are you absolutely sure you want to put louvers in a 2nd gen?  Your car and I support your choice but it's pretty hideous looking.

I just took them off of my Charger a few weeks ago. The looks didn't bother me as much as the holes drilled in my roof to mount it do.  :rotz:

Dang man...I didn't realize you were looking for some. I thought you were just looking for pictures of what they looked like on a Charger. I emailed Baldwinvette77 and told him you would get first dibs since you did start the topic. Here is a few pics of them...let me know if you want them.

No problem Neal, you've helped me plenty in electrical threads. So what are these plans you mention in your original post. I am very intrigued  :scratchchin:

The "plan" was to print pics and take them to welder near me to see if he could come up with something. He specializes in aluminum fab work as boating is a big deal around here. If I had that to start with it would be huge help. (I'd gave up trying to find one.)
I did a bunch of patching back there and the Dutchman panel corners aren't quite right, the trim fitment in the corners is off alignment. (I had no template to pattern from.) So along with blocking the sun this would hide my mistake. My car is a driver, I get odd looks all the time. Painted pure white it's a 30 footer....get closer and you start seeing dings/blems and patch mapping. Most don't get why they see new paint over such things. The white is just a shell to protect for now.
Baldwinvette77 if I have your okay I'll gladly pay for shipping and if I don't use it send it to you.  :2thumbs:

Wow, So you're going to make a modernish replica?  :scratchchin: Sounds awesome.
While yes, i would gladly take it if you don't use it, you may want to think twice about paying for shipping  :smilielol:
