I think if any big names stand up for the flag their record label or movie company could threaten to drop them. I saw KWS 3x and just this morning I was thinking about the Extreme Lee. Will Hot Rod magazine tell KWS he cannot participate in the Power Tours anymore? The joke at my office is that I am white and drive a black 69 Charger....does that make me racist? I was told "NO" and that I just have good taste in cars!

Go to a local high school and see how many of those kids even know who Burt Reynolds is.

They won't go after Bandit.  It doesn't have the kind of high profile that DOH still does.  




As for KWS and the Power Tour - it's a free country.  It's free highways.  HOT ROD couldn't control who goes along for parts/all of the Power Tour even if they wanted to.  

The worst they could do to GL owners is refuse to run pics in the magazine, and I doubt they would bother with that.  The musclecar world will hold out the longest of anywhere when it comes to accepting the GL.

This is what I've been saying from the get go.   It's not going to just stop at the courthouse in Carolina. They want this flag gone and anything tied to it.   They want it to be the official symbol of hate and racism as that lady senator said it was.   The real problem with the confederate flag is some hate groups using.   NOT it flying on state property.   You know it, I know it and they damn well know it.    They are successfully taking steps in branding it in the publics eye so that anyone in the future will only associate it with evil.   F these trouble making people.  They have their freedom and that means they're free to leave this country.  
It kills me that they have this much energy, resources, time and passion to chase people that like the flag.  Yet their own people are killing themselves and running like animals breaking laws and everything in between.   They have bigger problems than some stupid flag and they know it.   They can't fix or control the problem within their own so they blame us or a flag.    They share the same freedom as we all do.  They get the same education as we all do and yet this is how they choose to use it.     They think they're entitled to special treatment and that's got to end.   They need to go out and find all these "baby daddy's" and make them become men.

That was the Georgia State flag they changed it in 2001 because it was "racist ". I was in Walmart the other day with my wife and I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd album with the rebel flag on it.  I joked and said this one slipped through the cracks to her I didn't say a word to anybody at the counter God forbid they pull it from the shelf.

Notoriety only works when there's enough people on your side to pull it off.   Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think enough people support leaving the flag alone, which is why it's going down.  Political correctness and not offending anyone is our way, now...

Because attacking an inanimate object like a flag makes these people feel good about their lives; they feel as if their dream of an utopian society is that much closer.  It's similar to gun control; attacking an inanimate object like a gun is a quick and easy way for people to address the horror of criminal violence, allowing them to feel a sense of accomplishment even though the true problem remains...
