The answer to the question nobody asked....

To the seller -

Do yourself a favor.  Post detailed pics of whatever damage has been caused by those modifications.  Especially the door hinges.

People fear the unknown.  Most are probably over-estimating how bad the damage is.  10 hours of work to reverse those lambo-doors will chase away buyers like 50 hours of rust repairs.

The sad realities when customizing to this degree.   It hurts the value of the car in general.   You took classic car that appealed to most charger lovers, tweaked it so that it only will appeal to a few charger lovers.  At least none here so far.     Some kids might think it's cool but kids don't have money.      Change it back and then you can sell it for top dollar of what it's worth is.

Personally, I'd have to strip the car down to shell and start over.  Not much on it as is, that I like.

yep, it needs a complete hack-job reversal. I'm sure there's bondo over one-inch thick in places.  Whomever buys this car is taking a huge gamble.  I wouldn't pay more than $10k for it.  I know that seems like project car money to most....but its like an onion, the more you peel the smellier it gets.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Even if you can get past the hinge fest, that underhood detail treatment is beyond hideious :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

I'm sure this car won't hit the reserve money seller thinks its worth.

Many folks see this as a major project (or parts car), but please don't flame me out for calling it that.

There's some nice usable parts here, or one heck of a good restorable car..... But you need to buy it for the right price.    :2thumbs:

what kid thinks that's cool?  Kids think my car is cool, but the older generation that grew up with these cars think its hideous.....

I don't think kids would think its cool just way over the top in ugliness....

RallyeMike

To each his own, but that hood is completely ridiculous. Have fun changing the spark plugs....   :shruggy:

I don't think those modifications rank as cool in any demographic.  Maybe some individuals but that's it.

Even among the "rollin on dubs" crowd those doors are probably not an improvement over stock.  It might have gone over well 15-20 years ago when the car was done but not today.

AFAIK there is no reason to think the current seller was the builder.

myk

Not only that, but the DUB/DONK crowd are into mid 80's G bodies, not anything older or much newer....

Ghoste

What is he actually hoping it brings, does anyone know?

skip68

I bet he's hoping it just brings a buyer.

This guy gathers and sells Mopars in western South Dakota. The actual owner was in our Mopar Club for several years and either sold it to him or more likely consigned it for him to sell. The owner just wanted to build something a little different - I think the lambo doors were the in-thing when he did this. It was a hit at many of our local car shows several years back - but the cool has certainly worn off. I have not seen the car in several years. Scott.
