I have found the rebuild kit on rock auto.com for a sweet deal. But their is two options for a 1968 Dodge Charger and I don't know exactly what the difference is any help? I need to rebuild both of the door hinges on both sides of the vehicle.

Just go to Rockauto.com type in the male model year and in the search part type in door hinge and the rebuild kit will pop up.

I ordered a kit from Jamie at MegaParts. The kit he sells has an oversize pin for the lower hinge, which you need to rebuild it properly. You need to rhime the hole to the correct size. I did my hinges and it worked out great.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

I like the complete set as well.  I'm not sure if I'd need the springs...but it wouldn't hurt either would it?   :scratchchin:

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I went with the last one, including springs. My springs were a bit worn so I decided to replace them. Jamies hinge pin kit is the only kit I found which has the oversize pin for the lower hinge. Drill and ream 13/32" and you will have a hinge which is as good as new, and keeps a correct factory look.

Must say, I like MegaParts. All stuff I got from Jamie have been real nice, and they have a very good customer service.

I also bought the kit including springs.

It turned out I did'nt really needed the springs since I couldnt find any differences in tension or things like that.  If you want a 100 points correct resto, the springs are different from the OEM ones, but only to a well trained eye.
