I know it sounds stupid to most people but since i saw bull riding the first time visiting the States,i wanted to try it.
Looking for a ranch where they would let me ride one just for once!
Won't get any younger or smarter and don't want to say that i haven't even tried to find a place to do it.

I used to ride horses but i know it's nowhere near the same!

If anyone knows someone whome has a ranch where they would let me do it let me know, please!I'd appreciate it.

Only one thing i regret in my life, the one thing i haven't done when i could have!
At least i try to do it now.

Don't expect much respond but this is the only place where i communicate with Americans!Never know till i try.

Thank you,

Peter

I'm going to have to recommend a mechanical bull first.  They can dial them back for beginners, then ramp them up to where they're more like the real thing.

But, if you're insistent, just a quick Google search turned up this:   http://www.cnobull2tuff.com/

Look under bull riding schools.

el dub

So are you looking for other charger members from Hungary who have a bull to ride?  Or are you coming to America to ride? Just show up to the rodeo.  heh heh

cavemanno1

I'm the only member here from Hungary!!!Yes i would go to the States to do it!
Thanks for the link but i'd preffer some private ranch not a school!Just turn up sign whatever they want me to sign, get on the bull than land in a second in the dirt than go home!
Just want to ride on that thing for once!I know it's stupid to you guys!
Could ride a mechanical bull here as well but i want a real thing.

Ps:my wife is a member here as well,so there are two members here from Hungary!

Of course we have but we don't ride them!

Please everyone if i may say this, respond to this thread only if you have know anything that is actually could be helpfull!
I'm serious about it and didn't started it as a joke!

Thanks,

Try these guys.  Because of liabilities it's not likely you're gonna find somebody that will just let you jump on a bull without a day or two training.   Looks like fun and a little bit crazy.   :2thumbs: http://www.cnobull2tuff.com/

 I didn't even see that  :slap:  haha.
Caveman, I doubt you're going to find anyone that's going to be willing to put you on a bull without training.  It's way too dangerous and can kill you.   You shouldn't want to get on one without knowing what you're doing.   Be smart, be safe.

:2thumbs: I agree   I don't know your age but your enthusiasm speaks youth. All I can add is that your passion is what drives evolution to make more resilient offspring. If you chose to go forward with this be sure to properly protect your testicle's in the event you survive.---It is for the good of the whole of course :icon_smile_wink:

70 sublime

Well we are a dairy farm with cattle and there is no way I would let someone come in off the road and ride one
I can tell you now if the animal is having a bad day and you get it the wrong place at the wrong time you will not think it was such a good idea from the hospital bed
Too much liability
Only place you will get to ride a bull is at a bull riding school

Urban thrill seekers (city boys) and ranch life = hospital.
You should plan a trip around looking at some cars in person and spend a couple days at a cowboy ranch bull riding school.    :2thumbs:

Hi guys!

Well,i'm 36 years old, have a 2 year old son!I hope you meant my enthusiasm makes me sound young on a good way!
I know it's very dangerous and i'm not a stupid kid that just wanna do it because he saw it on telly.
I know the risk at stake and that i can't just turn up at someone's ranch and say hi can i jump on a bull?Obviously i don't have a death wish because i love life!Have a beautiful son a gorgeous wife and lot to live for!Now it's like when i wanted a charger the first time!
Everybody, except my wife, said you can't have one or why would you want one!Till this day everybody thinks it's a bad idea to have a 30k dollar 46year old car.So what?I want one a lot and i earned the money and sacrificed to be able to buy one,for my own pleasure!
This bull riding thing is the same. You guys tell me i can't do it or shouldn't do it!I'm not a thrill seeker but i ride sports bikes, motocross bikes, skydive, scuba dive and do martial arts. All i wanna say is that every year i have a "dream" accomplish!Last year i run with the bulls in Pamplona Spain, that was the scariest thing in my life, this year i went to the Isle of Man TT and for next year i'd like to rid a bull or at least try.

So please help me to achieve it and stop the no saying thing. You guys sound like a bunch of old man  :pity:
That was just a joke about the old man thing,no offence intended!

El dub, lawyer for what?I can sign a declaration or whatever that i'm responsible for my own action and such!
If you serious about that pm me and we can plan it!

You know skip i'd love to go there to look at cars but so far i haven't got one single lead on a car!Now i stopped looking for a 4 speed 68 r/t and will just convert her but that's an other topic!

Thanks everyone for your input!

skip68

I understand caveman.      I'll do some more looking for you.   Maybe I can find a place for you to ride the bull.

My cousins husband talked about doing the same thing for three years, during that three years, I said, what are you NUTS!!!!!! Don't even!!!!, multiple times.... He would just reply , it's been my life long dream and I'm going to do it. Now, Jeff is not dumb, Dade County Sheriff to be exact, and has been shot at before, so I just could not understand, why....anyways long story short. Found a place in Florida that helped him train, and then came the day and the moment, moment-------seconds, and not many, several broken ribs and a few contusions.....

The last thing anyone needs, is to be taken out by a dumb animal.
Enjoy you trip here and not from a very expensive hospital bed.

James Bachi.......... No, I'm not Hungarian.....Just older....

I'd like to wrestle an alligator.  I'm not just going to walk up and say "hey, that looks like fun, let me try" without having some form of training.
Caveman, you said you've been skydiving right?   So tell me something.   Did they just say grab a chute, get on the plane and then jump?  With no instructions and training? ???
We're just saying you've gotta be safe and smart.   Some things just aren't worth dying for or being permanently injured.   Even with proper training and protective gear it's dangerous and deadly.

There's nothing wrong with you wanting to ride a bull.  But as a husband and a father the risks you take affects you're family to.  So if you're going to do something crazy and dangerous for a thrill you've got to think it through and be prepared and as safe as you can.   That's all I'm saying.

Thanks guys for worrying about me!I know it's stupid and dangerous!

Skip,no did not let me jump out by myself which i really wanted.Had two choices, tandem or do the license.Since i didn't want to do tandem i had to do the course.Tandem is like you'r riding on the back of the motorbike. It's a whole different ball game so to speak when you drive/ride.

Funny enough you say but i actually went to Australia for one reason,to kill a crocodile.Went to Darwin and became friend with a girl at a tattoo  place.Told her why i'm here and what i wanted to do.She said crocks are protected and it's illegal to hunt them. However her ex-boyfriend was some sort of hunter/crocodile dundee guy.Real nice guy but a few screws were loose in his head.Anyway, sort story is,i was going to hunt with them not for crocks just hunting and see what happens. The day before our little bush-tracking he had a car accident and ended up hospitalised for a few weeks. So not hunting or killing crocks.
But life or destiny is funny because i met my wife before i was going to Australia!
Fall in love madly but had my tickets paid months before so i went.
You see if i wasn't an idiot to try to kill a croc i would have never met my wife and would not be a happy and proud father now.Wouldn't had had a charger because she wanted one first and i took liking of it!

I'll be as safe as i can and if nothing turns up i'll just go to that bull riding school!

Thanks everyone!By the way i'm not crazy just wanna live my life the way i see it fit!
Not drinking much, not smoking, doing drugs, gamble or womanise.Help my wife doing the chores and spend most of my free time with my family. However i believe in stories.I wanna look back to my life and tell myself that i lived my dreams. Not doing it to show off or prove anything.

Sorry for the long story!

skip68

:2thumbs:  good for you.      great story.   :2thumbs:
I agree, if I went skydiving I wouldn't want to do it tandem.   Only solo.   :2thumbs:

Looks like i'm sorted  :yesnod:

Thanks everyone! :2thumbs:

Now if you could just help me to find a '68 r/t that would be great! But i guess i have more chance doing 8 second(which i know impossible)on the bull then finding a charger!

Anyway,thanks again guys!

Make sure you get some pictures or video of your adventure
We all would like to see how it goes (in the good way)  :2thumbs:

cavemanno1

Sure will do!Only gonna do it next year and in the meantime i will get back to horse riding. Now the bull riding school starts to appeal to me a lot.Always wanted to live and work on a ranch!

Hey 70 sublime, don't you need a free labour on your ranch?I'd do it for the experience and some place to crash!I'm handy with carpentry tools and work usually 12 hours a day at work so hard work isn't unknown for me!

If you really want to ride a Bull, e-mail. We have a open invite to any wanna be Bull riders, just 2 hours sw of me. I would be happy to join you.

cavemanno1

Oh yeah,I'm serious, sir!Never been to Kansas before. How long is the open invitation last? Are you gonna join me as is riding a bull or just come along to ser how high i can fly!

Told my wife last night that i wanna do that stupid thing i have been talking about for years.Asked her to guess what was it and after the crock hunting she said,"no,not the bull thing again?"
Since we both love the United States she promised me to come with me and bring our son as well.So we are gonna have a roadtrip over there next year! But if i finally find a car that i can buy this year then i'm gonna fly out there to check it out and ride that bull!

Something to think about when it comes to playing with/riding on bulls:

My uncle Bob was a professional cowboy (team steer roping, ranked 2nd or 3rd in world back in the early 1970s).  Unfortunately, he got gored by a large bull on his ranch back in 1975 when he was trying to put it in another pen.  He thought that the bull was a mild tempered one, but it turned on him for some reason.  It came very close to killing him, he almost bled to death getting to the hospital.  He was forced to give up the rodeo life after that injury (lost an important finger in the process), so he took up farming instead.  Bob understands well what one of those can do if you do not let them be.  I also lost a cousin when he was crushed between metal railings after being rammed by bulls while loading them onto a trailer.  He was working for a rancher and something spooked the cattle at the wrong time.  Ranching can be a dangerous occupation....

Being from Kansas, I give bulls the respect that they deserve.  Just like people, some of them are mild, some of them are very aggressive.  Unfortunately, some of them can change from the mild to the aggressive at the drop of a hat.  Best to give them their space...
Ph.D. Metallocene Chemist......

cavemanno1

I do respect them!I'm not going to abuse or tease them.
I know it's dangerous and you have to be a bit loony to do it.But if it wasn't dangerous and difficult to do,there wouldn't be a sport.

I ride motorbikes since i was 12 and saw a few guys crash and die infront of my eyes but that doesn't stop me riding. When someone ask about how to get into bikes 'cuz they wanna ride i don't tell them it's dangerous don't do it.Of course it's dangerous very dangerous but you could die in a bus stop or run over by a car. Can't look at life's challanges or our own challanges like that!
I just came back from the Isle of Man TT the most dangerous motorbike race ever! They are really crazy to ride like that but if i could i would as well!

I'm sure if i ride on a bull lots of times i will get hurt!Like they say,it's not if  but when.Same as riding.I have crashed once but luckily it wasn't anything serious.
Last year i was in Pamplona to run with the bulls and saw an ozzy guy gored by the bull pretty badly. When the run was over all those peope were locked in the arena and a 6 bulls were let out one by one for ten minutes. The bulls were chasing people around the arena. Some got gored and stomped on or flew up in the air! It's crazy and scary but that didn't stop me going back for 3 more days. The closest a bull's horn got to me was two inches!

Obviously i don't want to get hurt but a few broken ribs wouldn't be a huge price to pay to say,yes i have done it!

Thanks for your advise!
