Hot Rod has a new article about Stevens performance with 299 high res pics behind the gates. They still have a ton of 68-70's as well as many other Mopars. Check it out http://www.hotrod.com/features/1506-where-chargers-and-challengers-go-to-die-inside-stevens-auto-wrecking/

So what are you waiting for?  Everybody wants to see all the pics of course!
These pictures deserve a good long junkyard thread!
This place is amazing, and why is that daytona not sold and being restored at this point in time?
I think I remember seeing a picture of that car on the car n barns website a couple years back.

Well it took a bit of time to re-organize everything.  Here it all is.

I'll be posting videos from here in the coming weeks, once I get back from Carlisle.

Also the Daytona pics are mostly on Pg. 13 and 14....... the end of the album.

I don't think they sell whole cars out of there.  I wish they did!

Here is the never seen... persay... front end of that Daytona.

hemi-hampton

I Remember when that Daytona was parked out front along the side of road, Anybody driving by could see it. I got pics of it then. Then last time I was there it was gone from front, Maybe it brought to much attention or afraid some one would steal it so close to the road, now hiding in back. LEON.

Happy to see you guys enjoy the pictures.

If you ever get a chance hemi-hampton, scan them in.  I've never seen pics of it from the road like that.  Would be a cool before/after pic.

Even if they sold a complete car out of there, no one would be able to afford it. The sum of what they ask for their parts would make a project car $100k  :eek2:

Great pics and thanks for posting!  It's pretty sad looking at all those once great cars.  Couldn't help but peek in my garage and take a minute to appreciate what I have.  Mine being far from perfect but at least they still live to tell about it. Big picture wise being forty plus years old, legally on the road and moving under their own power.  Kind of has a way of setting a guys head straight instead of fussing about all of my cars imperfections.

I was there for 5 hours... constantly walking/shooting cars.  And only saw 2/3 of the yard.

Indeed, in the original article before the edits.  Ted Stephens told me that I was probably the only person to have pictures of the yard with any amountable snow.  And by the time I was done, you could see it had mostly melted away.

TCB

Mr. Stephens was way ahead of his time so I give him credit.  :2thumbs:  He had to foresight to risk his hard earned money for uncertain futures.....(much like the stock market today) but with more sweat equity and hard work.

So many people have benefitted from this yard over the years, and many cars wouldn't be alive today without it.

I posted the Pics in here a few times many years ago. Had 2-3 different angles. This is the only pic I could find saved on my computer. Many older pics on my other computer. LEON.
