So by today's standards we should look at this picture of bo and Luke and get in an uproar and demand it be taken down right?

On the heads up side, If you haven't bought all your seasons of the DOH i would do it now they are starting to go up ...way up in price .I just bought the ones i didn't have. Getting hard to find in stock and for under at least $70 or more Try amazon 1st they seem to be the cheapest still. :shruggy:

One another note i went to bubba's FB page A LOT of fans posting there displeasure  I made a suggestion to put a vinyl flay on if he really has to change it .. at least that is a better option then totally screwing it up. :2thumbs:

If you think the DVD's are going up in price check out the general lee car's on amazon!!! Some are in the 200 to 300 dollar range!!! I wonder how much a danbury mint general lee would be worth now since they were so expensive to begin with!!

The scary thought is if Twatson successfully replaces the flag with the American flag the PC will pressure the rest of General Lee owners to do the same.

It's not Bubba Watson's example you need to worry about.  It's Warner Bros.  What happens when they do another bad remake and officially replace the flag with something else?  I've been concerned about this for years.

Honestly, I kinda doubt that WB will do another movie.   They may do a spinoff/ copy cat that would be more politically correct, but I think DoH is done, unfortunately.

That figures. I got a good deal on a few DVD seasons of DOH (1-3 maybe, can't remember) and I was going to buy the rest one of these days but never got around to it.

JB400

I ended up paying $30/ disc at a local store that had to order them for me, which is similar to what Amazon would have charged yesterday, cost of the disc + shipping.

You know, if Warner bros really felt that it was wrong and offensive then why don't they make a huge donation to one of the African American foundations with all that profit they've made over the years?   Which came from us supporters by the way.    :slap:    why should they profit?

They might be seeing a pretty drastic increase at the moment, but that won't last long unless they change their minds.

George Jefferson was racist and said honky religiously and it's still running and you know why?  Because us "honky's" aren't crying that it's offensive and even if we did It wouldn't be taken seriously.   :shruggy:  why the double standards all the time?

Drove it again tonight, right through the city and parked for the fireworks tonight. EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE loved the car. 100% EVERYONE.

Got lots of comments about "the media" and the "PC crowd" making all this trouble over nothing.

I can imagine the insurance companies using this excuse to raise the rates on those with the flag on top.  Glad to hear public response hasn't changed yet.  It will if the media keeps up its attack.

Drove it again today to Cars and Coffee. 100% positive comments, again.  NOBODY CARES except the media which was bashed plenty by those at C&C. A wide range of cars and attendees. Everything from a cruiser which probably cost a few grand, right to a custom coach built car which was rumored to have cost the owner $2mil. and he's got 4 of those cars... Guy handed me a flyer, inviting me to a show he's putting on  :2thumbs:

Where I am, it's good to see those recognize it's the media pulling the strings and such.  :Twocents:

Anyone else driving their General Lee cars?  :popcrn:

Where do you live?    If I still had mine I'd be driving it just the same as ever.
