Been battling fuel boiling on my charger for a while, I did a couple of thing's that helped cushion the problem but it still was there and somehow getting worse. I found a card I had that was cool carb technologies so I called and ordered me one. He said I will need two regular thin gaskets and the spacer goes in between the two. I told him I got very limited hood clearance and the insulator I got on there now is .320 thick and he said his spacer is pretty much the same thickness even with the two other gaskets added to it. I hope it works, got to try something since it in the 90's here lately it's really aggravating trying to start it when the engine is hot or even just warm. I ordered a milidon 160 high flow thermostat to try and reduce some of the underhood temps and some of that sleeving to go over the fuel lines so maybe between all three I can get some better hot starts with my ride..... I did locate some 100% fuel close but it 90 octane instead of 93 but I figured I would try it anyway and it actually ran smoother after I put the 100% fuel in and it started up pretty good too after it sat awhile so at least I know that it is a fuel problem. As long as it doesn't ping with this 90 octane I am going to continue to use it since I noticed an improvement very quickly after putting that fuel in.  :yesnod:

Well I had some alternator issues I was working out while I was tinkering with my fuel boiling problem's but I got it back together and ran it some yesterday and it does seem better so far. I know time will tell but it's got to be better than it was..... I put the new thermostat in and put that thermo sleeve stuff over my fuel line from the filter up to where it split's off to the dual line for the carb and put the cool carb tech spacer under the carb. I ran it for about 20 min's and checked the temps with a thermostatic temp gun and the engine was running about 155 F and the intake was at 125 F and above the spacer the carb was 105 F. That spacer is keeping the carb 20 degrees cooler which would seem pretty helpful to me so i'm glad I purchased it now that I can see that it does make a difference. It wasn't very hot here yesterday so I can't really say how cool it will run when it hit's the 90's again but it's still got to be better than it was. It was in the high 70's/low 80's here yesterday and rainy so I didn't get to drive it but as soon as it stop raining and dries out I will take it for a drive and see how it work's out.
