It looked like they had plenty of room in that parking lot to move it any where or any position they wanted. And they did, they puposely parked it up againt the wall for a excuse not to get a picture of the back. Just seems suspicious since the back had major damage at one time. LEON.

472 R/T SE

Are you kidding me?  Rex traded it for the 4 gear.  This isn't the 70's.   :icon_smile_angry:

I don't usually talk about people like this, but what a tool.  The guy had no reason for owning this rare of a car.   ::)   Rex could have personalized so many other rigs that were not 1 of 1 for what he paid for this one.

Yeah, yeah it's his rig to do what he wants.  I just think what's happened to the car is a travesty.
I mentioned to Kori Alexander of an automatic trans Charger with 4:10 gears & cruise I was trying to purchase and he gave me a shocked look & said his buddy restored a car identical & was trying to find it to possibly purchase it back.  I like Kori and it was everything I had to keep from telling him Jerry was thinking about selling.

Here's the pic of us together.  This was at the Mopars Unlimited Seattle Remilinger Show from about 15 years ago.  Not a good pic.  Not many digital cameras back then.  It was either my whopping 4 MP Oly or the very 1st one that was barely a 1 megapixel Kodak.  I remember posting pix on the 'net & people were like, 'how do you do that?'  ;)

1st car is our very own triple3xgreen Mark's '68 before the Magnums.
Car behind Mark is Jerry/Rex/Matthias car in question.
The 3rd one at the rear is my old car, AllBlueRT.

So I've read different statements in this topic... some say it is and some say it is not the Charger with the crushed rear end in the pictures. Yes or no? :scratchchin:

It is the same car.

Wow, how can they (pedal to the metal in Holland) make the statement in their ad that it never has been damaged...!?
That's obviously a lie.

Hello Matthias,
Just joint to wish you luck with the Pedal STD.
Thats the same "krankheit"that I got when I bought a 600 miles "old" 572 Hemi from Fred (PttM).
After just 700 miles , just before border of Switserland (Meeting Hemiswil) the engine made so much noise that the car went back on trailer to home.
When I got home and opened the engine , I found lifter gallery was hacked with grinderr to give clearance for linkbar of lifters.
Found oils suction tube almost closed due to some guy hit it with hamer to clear 4.500 stroke crank.
Found 3 pistons with old damage (ringland exposed).
Found 2 combustion chanbers (not same cylinder as piston damage) with heavy sigens of old exploded pistons.
When calling StageV for age ionfo based on serial numbers of heads , I was informed by StageV that heads where sold to RBRE as bare heads in 1996.

When confronting Fred with this it was not seen by him when he checked the engine.
And it could only be caused by my driving style and the EFI that I put on it.

After some checking around with other Mopar guys , I found out that he did drive only 600 miles with the enigne , but he did not tell me that the engine came from USA in a 69 charger which was a much used drag car.

Cost me about 9000 euro's in parts and labor to get it all back in good shape.

I wish you luck and strenght in your dealings with Fred . :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :flame: :flame: :flame:

sounds like Europe has their own "HLPAG"  :yesnod:      http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,3692.0.html

Yeah, Thats what I was thinking. Another HLPAG. I also think he was calling his other green 70 Charger he is currently selling Damage free & not this one that sold. BUT, It sure looks like that if you got a lemon to sell here in the USA & everybody here knows about the lemon with problems then what do you do with it :scratchchin: You can't sell it here because everybody knows it :scratchchin: Ahhhhh, How about I sell it over seas where nobody knows anything about it & try to pass it off as a nice car :yesnod: That should work :yesnod: :brickwall: :shruggy: :slap: LEON.

Holy SHITE!!!!

Its ok to have your ride repaired, but selling one and telling people its an untouched original car....These guys are bad news for the hobby and take advantage of people getting into these cars.  No offence but when I bought my 69 almost 10 years ago I did'nt knew sh*it about Chargers. If I had a huge pile of cash back then this could have easily happened to me.
Fu*cking he*l this pisses me off.
Again people should inform themselves better trough the internet these days thats what its for. The world is such a smaller place on the net. If only the OP came here with the question if he was gonna invest good or bad, maybe this tradgedy could have been avoided......

Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

I Don't get it. he has yet to agree he has a fixed, wrecked car he thought was a virgin.

:-X     Anyone notice the machine gun tips were re-installed.

My mistake A32, not A34.

Galen told Jerry Moore it was the most optioned '70 Charger he had ever seen.  Beep Beep Dave's car & mine both have full tags like this sublime one.  Dave was the one who broke the news to me that Jerry sold it before I was able to get the $$ together.  I was under the impression it would take in the $50k's when all it would have took was $32k.  I could have done that.

It sure would have been nice to have this one parked next to my purple one right now.  One factory original & the other would bee my modified rig.  Regardless, 2 R/T SE's with cruise...cool.

Neat car especially to me because it was originally a Canadian car. When it was for sale I gave it some thought but it is pretty similar to my car so I passed, but it had the better performance options. Pretty sad what happened to the car over the years, hopefully it has found a good home.

As a side note, I never really cared for the racing mirrors on a 1970 Charger, but they are really growing on me.

Your car isn't an SE correct Dave?

It has to be the most loaded up standard R/T if so.

Mark H

The Charger use to be in South Dakota before it went to Barrett Jackson and before Rex got his hands on it and customized it... The car use to have a Go Wing on it but Outlaw Motors in Newcastle Wy bought the car and removed the wing and took it to Barrett Jackson.

The charger at Crazy Horse in South Dakota, at a Charger meet.

Correct mine isn't a SE but has SE doorpanels it may have picked up along the way. They were on it when I bought it.

Dave, soley based on the 3205 cars registered and based on options on fender tag you own the 2nd most optioned non-SE car we have found thus far. The one before you is a 2 tag special order.

instead of bagging rex for using it as a "daily driver" ( as the owner it was his prerogative )  shouldn't we be lamenting  shonky repairs  :scratchchin:

I think you mentioned that before Don, could be others out there with more options I am sure. I know quite a few of the factory options on my car are ones that don't get coded on the fender tag but show up on the window sticker and broadcast sheet...
