What are everyone's preferred performance mufflers? Best for sound and/or flow.

Here is a recent thread on mufflers.  Dynomax Ultraflows and Super Turbos, and Magnaflows seem to be popular.  I had my exhaust guy pull the magnaflows off my RR and put on super turbos(you'll read in the thread).  My 15yo daughter thinks I screwed up. :shruggy:

I have Flowmaster mufflers in my exhaust. Like the sound.

I have TTI 2.5 with Dynomax super turbo mufflers. They sound great, but I do get a lot of drone around 1800rpm. I may switch to the Ultra Flows. Heres an old video clip of a small rev of the engine....

I love my Flowmasters but they are 18+ yrs old. They are loud and badass just how i like it. I have heard that the new ones are not built with the same quality. You may want to look into that.

Are there any good, but quiet mufflers?  I'd like a quiet ride, unless I open it up.

Get e-cut-outs, then you can just open it up when you want to...

I like my flowmaster delta flows not overly loud but definitely loud enough when opening it up  but gives it I nice deep mellow sound.  Well running a x-pipe as well which changes things

Depends on what you think is loud but my Flowmasters are actually pretty tame. I think they're a good volume and fairly loud but when I'm leaving a show or meet with other muscle cars I'm always surprised how mine get drowned out with the other louder exhausts. ha

Actually I'd like as close to no sound at all, like a sleeper.  This along with MYK's suggestion for electriccut outs would be perfect.  Anyone have mufflers that COMPLETELY muffle the sound?  If so I'd be interested to hear about it.

Thanks for the link!  Looks like Dynomax Super Turbo may be the ones for me.  Not to hijack thread but what is the consensus on the best e cut outs?

I went for the cheap and got FLOWMONSTERS SS.

They are one perforated duct ( not chambered ) , and fiberglass filled... Like dinomax ultraflo welded but a bit cheaper
