I'm planning to drive my '69 down to Chryslers at Carlisle. I have staggered tire sizes. The fronts are 215 70 14 and the rears are 235 60 14. I read here at one time that the spare should be the same height as the rears because I have a Sure grip. The problem is BFGoodrich recommends a min 6.5" wide wheel. I am having a tough time finding a 6.5" or 7" wide 14" wheel. The height of the 235 60 14 tire is 25.1" dia. A 215 60 15 is 25.2" dia. I have a 15" x 6.5" wheel that I could mount the tire on.
Would the .1" dia. difference damage the sure grip if I had to use the spare?

Something close in size will do just fine.  Besides, you're supposed to take it slow on your way to the tire place when running a spare.   :icon_smile_big:
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Lol I'm actually going to buy another one of our wheels with a tire just so I can have a full size/identical spare and keep on driving dangerously...
