When I had the a/c box out and changed the evap core and heater core I also but on a new factory air blower motor for a 73 Charger with a/c and I got a new wheel too. I checked the original resistor and none of the resistor springs were broken. But when I have the fan speed on hi it's not very powerful, it's like the mid setting on my 98 Ford Ranger a/c. I swapped the resistor out with another spare one I had same part number and correct Mopar number and it didn't change. Is this normal or is something else wrong? I sure don't want to have to remove the box again.

blower motor  might be seizing  , or need replacing / rebuilding ,  check wiring to switch too

I've never been happy with the HI blower speed on any sixties-seventies B-body...I've heard others complain about it too.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I don't know what's doing it, I've heard about it many times as well.  Mine seems to run pretty fast though.  All three settings seem to work as they should.  I was running the a/c today with the fan on high and had to shut it off.  I was freezing in that thing!
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

A/C output is relative to the driver, I've never had an A/C that was too cold.
