Is there anybody that repairs / restores the lug nut holes on steel wheels? Anybody have experience doing it? I picked up a pair of 1970 15 x 7 rally wheels and one of them has three of the lug nut holes tore up. Can something like this be fixed??   :icon_smile_question:

Define tore up?

Dents and things of that nature can be repaired, if the hole has been widened or made unround, I do not think so. Will have to look, but there used to be a place that would restore wheels, will have to back and see if I can find their website.

I think Resto Rick offers this service.

The only practical way to repair damaged lug holes is to replace the center.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Why couldn't the hole be welded up partially and redrill and counter sink the hole?

That would pretty well describe three of the holes.  :D

This was my thought here. Machining it would be no big deal my concern was with the welding.  :shruggy:
