I am planning to buy a Addco rear sway bar for a 70 Charger RT. Are these bars frame hung and mount over the rear axle?

As far as I know only the ones offered by Firm Feel go up & over the rear axle.
Personally, I just bought one of the last remaining sets from Hotchkis. They were a little expensive, but they are the only company that offers HOLLOW bars. Hollow bars are actually stronger, and of course lighter than the solid bars sold by Addco. Also, the Hotchkis bars are the biggest ones available over all the companies I've researched (Addco, Firm Feel, PST, etc). The rear Hotchkis bar is not frame hung though, but that didn't matter to me.

SuperTuff performance also makes rear bars that hang over the rear axel - similar to the e-body system used by Firm Feel for less $$.

OK why top or bottom for the mounting? and if it does not mount to the frame where does it mount? lastly Bill is it for your red car and how do you like it? John

top mounts up out of the way and can not be seen easily - i also believe there is an unsprung weight factor

the difference is probably marginal , but in a perfect world a car will handle better with less unsprug weight so having the bar on the frame & linked down to the diff/ springs is preferable
