stumbled across this charger in an old salvage yard, its an original 69 r/t 440 a/c charger. poor charger...

cbrestorations

Ghoste

Were there any numbers left on the 69?

cbrestorations

yea, thats how i knew what it was...xs29

Ghoste

Makes sense, not much else there to go by.

69CoronetRT

Did you happen to grab any fender tags off any of the Mopars in the pictures?
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

cbrestorations

Tags were already gone, just vins and body stamping left. I don't see why people just grad fender tags, it won't match their vin anyway

JB400

We got members here who'd have them both on the road in no time :icon_smile_tongue:

VegasCharger

Save those end caps lol.

Damn Chris those Chargers draw to you like a magnet :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Was that dude moving that 69 for you or did you just happen to be there when it was being moved?

Would've loved to been there.

cbrestorations

Lol I wanted the core support and dash, so they moved it to torch off support. I would of just taken the whole car but there wasn't much of the car left.

good , but sad pictures  , thanks for posting the pictures CBR  :2thumbs:

I'm assuming you had your trailer there ready to grab a shell if it warranted doing so.

I gotta get over to your shop and check out your Chargers,
I keep putting it off :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

I don't see why people just grab fender tags....

History. Research.

Every tag is one piece of a very large puzzle. When you put a bunch of them together, a picture of what was done, how it was done and when it was done emerges.
Even if you don't want the tag, save it for someone that does. There are several people that would love to have it regardless of body or engine type.

Ghoste

Agreed, wish more of them had been saved.

Homerr

I wish all pulled tags were posted on the net publicly somewhere.

cbrestorations

sadly both these chargers were rust free still to this day. floors and trunk even good

Original rear frame rails should be saved, any original metal patches could be useful.

bumper on the '68 looks to be a good core?

DonQuixote

If this was NorCal, I ended up with one from that yard. They forked it through the windshield and destroyed the roof.
In the process of putting it back together.

I have one. Where is zombieland?

cbrestorations

no its not crushed, but it will need front clip, complete roof, both quarters, tail, rear valance, trunk, deck, rockers and there are no numbers on the car anymore...ur better off finding something else to start with really. i want and could save this car but i already have a few projects now. i found 2 chargers in my uncles yard that i bought 2 years ago, one being a 68 r/t, the other was a 68 383hp 4 speed. he doesnt let anyone in his yard, and he wants stupid money for his stuff. luckily i got the family discount lol. the 383hp car is still there...havent had time to try and help get the other car off of it and get it out yet, maybe this year. gotta sell some of my other cars first.
