Almost in an accident today

Had a Fork Light pull out right in front of me and I almost T-boned it. The Fork lift and I both slammed on our brakes. The Forklift spilled it's load all over the road. A big load of muriatic acid!

A lady helped stopped traffic so they wouldn't drive through the puddle of acid that was eating the roadway.

I helped clear the tubs carefully off the road and the acid was washed away with water.

Exciting to say the least....  :-\

You want exciting try commuting in the big City on a motorcycle. Not to be sexist - its just the facts, but 4 separate women on cell phones have tried to run me over with lane changes in just the last 2 weeks, including one today in a brand new Camaro.

They should equip cars with automatic cell phone disablers, or make it so phones don't work if they are moving more than 5mph  :scratchchin: You just cannot ride cautiously enough to avoid these idiots.

Glad you made it through unscathed.

Glad things worked out for you, Drache.  Muriatic acid on your car and actually hitting the fork lift would have instantly transformed it to needing body work and a full paint job at the least! Down here in the lower 48, that would've commanded a visit by a hazmat crew and an expensive cleanup instead of just washing the roadway with water until it was gone!

Every time I think about getting another motorcycle (rode for 30+years and last bike was a BMW R100S), I just take 2 aspirin, lay down and, get over it! I live in a mega-metropolis and not a day goes by that I don't see someone texting and driving and wonder how in the world are they paying attention to traffic?  THEY AREN'T!  Riding a bike in todays' big cities is getting far too dangerous for me!

Again, glad you and your car are alright, Drache !!
