Pleeeeessseee....does someone have a picture of how they should look after install?  For a 68 Charger with bucket seats.

Ghoste

The flange goes to the inside and the low part to the back.  If that helps.

wa68charger

Yeah, kinda.  I think I have the front one figured out....just cant get the back two brackets to look right.

wa68charger

Yeah, there are 4 brackets per side. I have the two "front" ones installed.  the ones closest to the firewall.  Just not sure how the back two are supposed to lay.

So the 68 is different than the 69.  69 only has one bracket per side that extends from the front to the back.  Interesting.

wa68charger

Hummm.  Maybe I misrepresented what I meant.  I am talking about the reinforcement brackets that get welded to the floor pans.

Ghoste

Ah, I thought you meant the ones the seat tracks bolt to.  Sorry man, disregard.

This thread shows the outboard brackets.  This part of what you are talking about?  If you look about 3/4 of the way down on page 7 of the thread you'll see a post of my outboard brackets.
The inboard brackets ( the ones that weld close to the drive shaft tunnel, are show on page eight about a third of the way down.  Hope this helps.

Careful of those outboard brackets, the front ones are not the same as the back!

wa68charger

I wish that was what I was talking about....but unfortunately no.  I'm referring to the four basically reinforcing brackets that are eventually welded to the floor pans directly on top of there the seats bolt in.

green69rt

OK, let's try again.  The inboard brackets do weld to the top of the floor as shown in this picture.  The outside brackets are underneath the floor unless a 68 is diff from my 69.  :shruggy:

If my last post still doesn't answer you question then I think I know what's going on.  First a couple of questions, first is it a 68 Charger?  Second did you get the AMD Bucket seat Floor bracket kit?   If so then I think the answer is the kit is made for "any" b body.  68-70 Chargers do not have the brackets on top of the floor on the outside (near the doors.)  The kit is for both seats (one kit per car that allows you to install two buckets..)  Instead the outside is supported by the under floor brackets.

Can anyone confirm this??

wa68charger

THANKS!!!! That makes perfect sense!  I am really appreciative!!!
