My '68 440 is an A/C car but I do not have the compressor, so the power steering pump is mounted low by one bolt.  I would like to move it up into its location with no A/C.  It is as simple as buying a new bracket and mounting it to the upper holes in the motor?

It should be a simple bracket swap. I haven't seen any A/C vs non-A/C PS pump pulleys anyway.

It appears that you may have a belt alignment issue though? Camera distortion I hope???

Thanks Rebby.  I spoke to the guys at 440 source and they said I need all new brackets because I am changing the configuration.  They are usually straight forward guys so I'm not sure if they are correct or just trying to upsell me.    :shruggy:

The current bracket is a little bent and not supported like I would want, so the belts are not exactly straight but a new bracket will fix the issue and provide more solid support.

If the bracket is bent it sounds like replacing it is a good idea. Chances are that you won't need new pulleys though. If you do, these guys appear to have a pretty good pulley system that won't break the bank -> http://www.cvfracing.com/chrysler-pulleys-s/43.htm

Good luck!

Looks exactly like my Saginaw brackets. Should do the trick.
