TESTING 1970 ralley dash prior to installation.

Hi folks,   I was wandering if anyone knows the proper way to test the 1970 ralley dash(bird Clone) prior to installation.   I would like to make sure everything works before I mount the dash and have an issue.  Anyone ever done this?  Thanks in advance.  Graybo.

Basically, with a multimeter you can check continuity and with the right power supply (I think 5 v DC - but check)  and resistors you can check the gauges.  I do not know what the voltage is on the lights. 

I rely on the Factory service manual wiring diagrams a lot.  I was not trained in reading them, but after some work, was able to.

Others (maybe Pete) will have a lot of excellent information.
