I'm looking at buying a new home and there is a cell tower very near the home.  I was wondering if there is any danger with this? The internet seems split on this. So what do you guys think, or what's your experience?

About as much danger as standing 6 feet from your TV screen ( if it's an old CRT model.)   Lot's of things emit EM radiation, we even get it from the sky!   Life's got too many other serious problems than worrying about cell phone towers.   The worst thing about cell phone towers is they block up the view.

At least you will get good cell phone reception! :Twocents:

Depending on the contract with the original owner, it's possible you'll get paid  to have it there.

Well the internet are idiots, so there's that.

The internet thinks Jimmy's (Saul's) brother is real too.

I worry not.  I am surrounded by electricity and radiation, and am no worse off.  Not to mention the outer space shit waves that hit you from the cosmos.  If anything you should worry about your food supply. Now that will kill you. :D

I wish!

Every six months I have a fight with Verizon as my reception goes south...I yell and scream and it magically gets better for a few months...then the calls start dropping again.  I swear they have software that dropped my conference call every 10.0 minutes three times in a row...probably because of "capacity" issues on the one tower that maps out closest to me and drops my bleeping call.  I use my phone for a home business.  It is bloody embarrassing to drop out of a conference call three times with an important client.  They already porked my $175 for a "Network Extender" that was supposed to cure all my ills.  Next I will probably have to drop another $100 and mount an external antenna on my house.

You are at more risk from using your cell phone without a hands free headset (holding it up to your head) than from the tower.

Nearly every year, there is an osprey family in the one near our house.  We can watch the osprey from the front porch.  We love it.
