President Obama Announces The End Of The US Military Occupation Of Texas

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/05/07/1383051/-President-Obama-Announces-End-Of-The-US-Military-Occupation-Of-Texas#

Responding to pleas from Texas Governor Greg Abbott the White House releases the following statement "We plan to withdraw all US military personnel and close all bases by December 2015"

In a brief statement President Obama said "The US Occupation of Texas is over, the troops will finally be coming home after so many years."

Some 250,000 personnel will be immediately affected. NASA is planning to relocate in 2016. The Federal Government is also to review its procurement strategies from Texas based contractors. Lockheed Martin released the following statement to the press "What the fuck is this shit?"

Boeing followed up with "What they said."

When questioned about the $250 billion impact on the Texas economy Governor Abbot replied "That much? Really?"

Ted Cruz and Louis Gohmert released a joint statement "This is a Federal Government plot to ruin the economy of Texas and hand it over to ISIS"

Rick Perry adjusted his glasses in a desperate attempt to look reasonable and had to be led away by his handlers before he upset the base. Alex Jones ate his own foot, he was unavailable for further comment. So a definite win there.

Remember the Alamo.
This will teach Texas for messing with the USA.   Maybe Texas can become allies with north Korea and get their help.   Either way I'm just glad our soldiers are coming home.   I've been fearing my son getting drafted and sent to Texas.

:o. HOLY HELL, THE YANKEES IS COMIN.
Does this mean that Ford, Chevy and Dodge Will pull out of Texas until they find out what the import laws and taxes are going to be?     :smilielol:
To shut the conspiracy theory idiots up I say we let them know that we'll give Texas to North Korea if north Korea leaves us alone.
:scratchchin: haven't we had several presidents from Texas and don't we have another Texan about to run for president?    If you ask me I think the real conspiracy is Texas trying to take the U.S.    :slap:
Anyway, back to real news. A man was causing trouble at a local Wal-Mart when he took back a fish he bought that died.  He became hostile and threatening when the clerk told him that the price of fish meat is going up and suggested the man take the dead fish next door to the sushi restaurant and sell it to them for a small profit.

Cncguy

Tinfoil hats and conspiracy theories until it really happens. So many believe it couldn't happen here. Just wait till the second amendment is gone. We have sold most of the US to China, wait till they come to collect.

myk

The 2nd Amendment, for all intents and purposes, is already gone...

Mike DC

They don't need to take away the 2nd Amendment.  Rifles & pistols have not posed any real threat to the Federal govt since the 1800s.  The law hasn't changed but military technology has changed around it.

redmist

All that cool military gear will look great with "Wolverines" spray painted down the side.

Our military would not have a chance against an already well trained and armed civilian population as found in the US.

They simply don't have the resources.
JUNKTRAVELER: all I've seen in this thread is a bunch of bullies and 3 guys that actually give a crap.

Mike DC

How much would the US military fear a hypothetical adversary in the middle east with only a bunch of semi-auto rifles & pistols?  Absolutely no tanks, planes, subs, missiles, nukes, etc.  Hardly even any full-auto assault rifles.

This country would pose no real threat to us.  It would just be another expensive thankless PITA if we wanted to occupy it in the long term, like everywhere else on the planet. It's absolutely nothing to fear.  We wouldn't think twice about invading just because of their personal firearms.

We still have the 2nd Amendment because personal firearms don't represent any real military power in the 21st century.

JB400

You're underestimating the enemy.

Mike DC

I'm not saying the 2nd Amendment isn't threatened.  I'm saying it doesn't give us real power to have the personal guns they allow.

Oh sure, the Fed might still want to take the 2nd Amendment away.  But that by itself doesn't prove anything about the power/threat of personal guns.  They ban fireworks too, and it's not because bottle rockets scare the military.   Overgrown govts like to take rights away.  It's what they do.  Just the PITA factor of the public still having guns would be enough to make them prefer we don't have guns anymore.

IMO the reason we still have any gun rights is because we over-estimate how valuable they are against the govt today.

LaOtto70Charger

I say it is because corporations make way too much on them and playing on people's fears

redmist

you have to remember that civilians make every single cool toy the government has...

when the SHTF, you will have thermal, NV, Full-Auto, armor, Vehicles, Tanks, grenades.... Blah Blah Blahh.

You combine that with a civilian force that is government trained, and at a massive level beyond the current military forces total body count and it looks real bad for the military. Now we take all the guys currently in the Military who decide they would rather not drive a M1A1 down main street of anytown USA, it it quickly turns bad for the government.

The deployment capability alone of our current civilians is hours if not days ahead of our military.

The fact this conversation is even brought up is telling though isn't it??

Sorta scary!

What is the most scary is folks like Dayclona who mock theses discussions with the infantile tin foil hat.

same to you old moparz
what are you afraid of?
You have to make fun of people rather than discuss the subject.
That technique is well documented. Are you being compensated to post like this on the internet?
So tell us why you think this subject deserves ridicule rather than discussion since you are so intelligent.
You can get together with Dayclona and discuss.

To all conspiracy theory believers,

Yes the world is round and not flat,
Yes we have been to the moon,
No the aliens are not coming and or here,
There is and never will be such a thing as zombies,
The world will not end with y2k,
The world will not end on Dec 31'st 2012,
There are no witches in Salem,
The holocaust was real,
And so on and so on. ..................

Is there small conspiracies and corruption, of course there is from the highest levels in government to lowest levels at a Taco Bell.
Is this something to fear?  Absolutely not.  It's been around as long as man has because it's a product of man.  100 years from now long after we're gone there will still be theories and crazy ideas of government teaching squirrels to talk or who knows what.  The great thing about conspiracy theories is it opens a line of communication between idiots and people with common sense.   It's up to you to decide which one are you.

All this is entertaining. :smilielol:   The idea of having a rational conversation--(with resolution)---between one that feels the chill of a demon and one that does not is a futile exercise. :nana:

Fact--- the world is flat.----Hmm maybe not?
Fact--- we have been to the moon.---maybe not?
Fact--- the world trade center came down aside from the planes hitting it.---Maybe not?
Fact--- aliens are our fathers and mothers.--maybe not?
As for the world ending?---Everyone agrees on that :scratchchin:

I am still getting used to the internet and trying to keep up with the positive side of the vast amount of information we have at hand. :2thumbs:

I use spell check all the time and wonder when we can expect to see ---FACT CHECK--- I want to be able to click on a fact check and get some real current data about a particular question.

Google is now huge and if anyone can work this out I would expect they can. (After all they have many billions to work with).

ws23rt

Just thinking a bit more on this.--

I wonder what it's like to believe something that is just wrong and to come into adulthood and find out about it?

I suspect that many in our current culture -- when faced with that eventuality will lie to themselves and believe that lie just because it's a conflict with how they feel about themselves. (their smartness).

We older folks just have to reflect a bit to understand this better.  When I was in my late teens I knew all I needed to know to get me through life. (the one that I had not yet lived).

The old saying----The older I get the smarter I was---rings true for me as I am now that older/wiser sort. With what I have learned all these years makes me feel less informed than I felt in my twenties. Their are many new things to learn. To waist effort on things like --is the world flat-- are only games to play with newbies to the world we live in.

Someone that knows the world is flat can know that as far as I'm concerned. I chose to talk to others. Sorta like moving on. :Twocents:

What am I afraid of?

Stupidity on a large scale old enough to vote for fear mongers & the brain dead.

Make fun of people?

Go back & read your own posts one after another & the majority of them ridicule & name call others when you disagree with them.

Compensated?

Yes, I can retire from all the money I make trolling the net.

Have a nice day.

This might be the reason for Jade Helm.  Makes more sense than the US government invading Texas.  Watch video.
