That is one killer car.  Those Boss 429's are very rare and what, 3 times the price of a 426 Hemi ?

Aero426

The car is pretty well done and has a nice appearance.   Supposed to be a real Talladega to start with.     To make a Boss 429 fit, you have to modify the shock towers, which appear to be hand fabbed.    Of course, real race Talladegas do not have shock towers.   They use a '65 Galaxie based full frame front clip tied in through the rocker panels.   That is also why this one sits a little high.

The wheels he says are race wheels are not.   They are standard 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern steelies.   The real wheels are a 5" bolt pattern and are double centered.

At an asking price of $95k you could just wait until you retirement years and then go see it in person. It will still be there.

My Buddy Wayne is doing this right now , with this real Talladega      he sent the body off to have the shock towers put in for the 429 , the car will be paint up in and orange race Scheme
His 429 is a new one build off a 460 block with the 429 heads  .
GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

ACUDANUT

I thought the idea was not to have shock towers ? :scratchchin: :shruggy:

This one would be a better deal.    It is a spectacular car.    Not street legal.   Built as it would have been done in period.

John Craft did a beautiful job on this and it as historically accurate as is possible. Would be a great add to anyone's collection.
