Fuel Sending Unit

Anyone know if the sending unit that Dixie Resto sells that are made in Mexico actually work correctly? My 69 rally gage never goes above 3/4 full.

b5blue have you tried one of these sending unit's??? I know my gauge in the dash works correctly but my sending unit doesn't. I would like to purchase one that does read right. Got mine from dixie resto and it only goes to 3/4 tank too....

Read the irwindale gauge resto on here,
I went the route where I got float sender as close as I could ,
Bent the float  adjusted it so I got as close as I could on the gauge ,
Once I got close , measured the ohms and recalibrated gauge ohms to match as close as possible , took a few go's
Then the final was to carefully bend the needle on gauge
Now reads accurately !

I had all my gauges recalibrated and the other gauges work perfect except my fuel gauge. The sender that was in it before I changed to the 3/8 worked great and after I went to the bigger sender it hasn't worked right since. Planning on doing something else with it soon but would be nice to just put a sending unit in and be done with it...

I called and talked to Kramer's after Banana Dan put one in his 70. Dan's was spot on and I've had nothing but great service from Kramer's so ordered one. To answer your question directly no, it's sitting on a shelf waiting for a new tank.

I have the same problem. Tank is out already. Ordering one from this Kramer's tomorrow.
