I took these off in November and didn't take pictures of where and how they went.  I know the two looms go on the front exh. manifold bolt each side but can't remember if the opening for the wire points towards the engine or out towards the front, or which went on the drivers or pass. side.  Which is which and how do they go?  I also can't remember where the hell that big flat bracket went.   Pic or help please !!

They go on the front exhaust manifold bolts pointing down so the wires can round the corner. Play with positioning side to side and you'll find placement that works out. I think the wire fingers point to the back of the engine.   :scratchchin: I don't know about the other thing.

WOW...nice!  :2thumbs:  (I've never seen that before.)

That certainly does help!!   Thanks.  I thought that "L" bracket went in that spot indicated in the top right photo but then second guessed myself thinking that Chrysler wouldn't put two of those brackets under that front exh. mani. bolt.  Guess I was wrong and they did.    But now those photos bring up another question ... I thought all those brackets were put on BEFORE paint and then would have been engine color.  I those pics. it appears as though none of those brackets have paint color ??    I wonder if those pics are just for some display or reference ??

The L bracket is NOT used on a B body

But yes they should be engine color,, regardless of body style

Ok, so more confusion for me to get it right.  That's why this site is informative.  So,...  Chrysler put that "L" bracket on engines (I assume big blocks), but only in certain body types?  If so, which ones and why I wonder?   If it was a bracket that helped hold wires in place, then why not use it on all cars?  Yes, that was more of a rhetorical question.  I tried google-ing some pics and information  -- some pics show it and some not.   Oh the confusion.

Sorry, I'm no help there.   I wasn't aware it was omitted on B-bodies. The pictures are from a repro kit to show where they are to go on differing years so it's not a factory document (hence, no paint on them) Sorry for the confusion!  Bill will have to fill us in on the details of the exclusion of the "L" bracket on B-bodies.

No need to apologize, that was a big help.  I'm also curious as to why those were not used and what they were used on.

That "L" bracket wasn't used after 1968 to my knowledge. Never heard it was body related.
