has anybody moved the fuel filter from stock location to a more accessible spot

I was watching a edelbrock carb video on installation and tuning and they relocated the fuel filter to under the carb. very easy to get to

Has anybody does this on a charger with a 440? if so, how and where is it?

Id like to move mine b/c the stock location is a pain!

i had a inline filer up top  , when i got my charger plus too much rubber fuel hose IMO , although ran it like that for years !    ,    all change after the resto though !  did not want any rubber joins that high up , just in case scenario , have my filter just above the pump where the vapor separator would be ! if any leak should happen its down low , away from source of ignition too much heat etc  , like keeping the rubber fuel hoses to a minum & rest steel hard line  :Twocents:

I was told that the point to it being where it is (by the fuel pump) if it leaks, it goes on the ground instead of a potentially hot engine block. The worst are the clear plastic ones.  I've seen them cause a fire.
But that is my  :Twocents:

I put mine in the rubber line just before the pump...easy access, and pump gets protected also

I just located one just before the pump myself. A 3/8 NAPA Gold that's see through plastic. I bought a second one that is the steel equivalent as a replacement. I'll monitor the condition of the plastic one closely to look for contaminates and check it's holding up okay.  :scratchchin:

I've run two,
One before pump, to catch hopefully most of the crap , and a second before carb to get the rest before entering fuel bowls,

Actually, my 67 had two in it when I bought it.  One right after the tank which wasn't the easiest to get and before the fuel pump. I guess that is not a bad idea.

After the tank and before the pump is the same thing...not sure why they would put 2 between tank & pump

After the tank will get some junk, then then before the pump gets what ever that missed.  Same as what fy469rtse said only not before the carb.

I put a see through so I can check for crap until I replace everything at the same time.
