I ended up stripping my anti-theft lug nut. Any suggestions. BYW Vise grips wont work and a plain jane socket ( hammered in) does not work. :brickwall:

go to auto part store and rent the special socket that has twisted spiral flutes inside to remove lug nut.....or drive to a tire store and have them do it

Take an old junk socket and weld it on then just remove it.   :2thumbs:

sometimes the socket pound on trick can be aided by putting a gritty paste in there too. like valve lapping compound or comet clenser...

Sometimes a deep well socket with course sand paper wraped inside it and pounded on the lock lug will get them off.

Angle grind flat surfaces on the perimeter until a socket fits on it. Unless the thing is really tight, your grinding job does not have to be a perfect fit to the socket you choose to use. It just needs some flat spots for the socket to grip.

Well, I am prolonging this, as I did not need to replace the brake caliper and brake hose on the passenger side.  I just had to replace the brake hose on the drivers side.  It was cracked and was causing the rotor to stick.  The other side looks great.

I hate anti theft lug nuts.  Tossed mine years ago.   All it takes is one flat tire and not finding the tool to make you rethink anti theft.   The other reason is there's nobody that's going to steal just the wheels.   I also would never leave my car anywhere or for any amount of time that that would happen.    :Twocents:

I still have the other hose. I will replace it too asap, when I rent this spiral tool, to get the other rim off.  Right now, I just need to move the Charger.  I totally agree with you though.

Got hold of a jeep wrangler a lil while back to do rear brakes on it and couldn't get the driver side rear wheel off. The lug stud was spinning inside the axle!! I thought and thought about how to get the wheel off and finally decided to drill it. I had to drive a flat blade screwdriver in beside of it and drill out the middle  which went pretty good since the lug nut and stud must be made of soft metal I guess and once I got it drilled pretty big I spun the wheel and gave it a few kicks from the inside and it broke the stud and popped off. Hopefully your's will not be that hard to get off!!!
