I thought I would share a few pictures of my Coronet fresh from body and paint. The paint is the original LL1 that came from the factory. I was going to do a R/T clone, but there are too many clones out there. This Coronet was originally a 318 car, non power drum brake, bench seat column shift car.  I have a 68 383 and 727 that will be installed along with power disc brakes. I know the 440 model isn't very desirable, but I really like it. Now for the work to begin.

Thank you all for the nice comments! No stripes, just bolting back on the Coronet 440 Rear quarter emblems and side body moldings like it had before. Thanks!  :coolgleamA: :2thumbs:

I applaud you going stock looking on it!  They seem so rare now, non-hot-rodded out ones, that this one will stand out nicely.

Why isn't the "440" trim not as popular?  Aren't all of the Coronets the same car?

JB400

Super Bees are more popular than a base trim Coronet.  The same applies to Belvederes and Satellites being turned into RR's, GTX's, and Superbirds.

Nice project and color choice!! Keep the pics coming :2thumbs:

I had a 68 coronet 440 , I believe the "440" model was the upper trim/molding that ran down the entire length of car , rocker moldings , and two tone interior . No wheel opening moldings , I believe that was added on the Coronet 500 , which also got the R/T taillights .

I thought I would post a few small updates. Painted K member, daughter wanted to help paint, so why not??? I not quite finished painting the engine, I ran out of paint...
