Hi guys,

I'm Joost from Holland,
I just bought a 68 charger R/T with a 440 stroker 5 speed tremec in it.
Its a matching numbers car but have the matching 440 and 4 speed next to it, they need rebuild.
Have it road legal now so now i can make some miles!

Here some pics of it..
Also my two year old son likes to go with me in it ;D

But i bought the charger in Topeka Kansas and imported it by usa2ned, a compagnie who is importing cars, a great guy that was to deal with.

The guy i bought it from also building hotrods so maybe one of you guys here know the charger.. would be nice.

Thanks for your welcome here guys!

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome!

And Stegs, Holland is also a nice country but the taxes are way high here on the gas so a day cruising cost just about a hundred dollar for gas or more!
I love the US, we went there for a roadtrip at 2013 for three weeks, we went from Denver to La with a RV and hope to come back next year, :coolgleamA:
Friendly people there and always in for a help, Also love the views on the roads when driving there.
Also we thought fill up the RV with gas was a laugh so cheap!

About the little copilot i hope he also gets the charger feelings so we can enjoy it together.. Wat's better than do that with your own children.. i have another son but he is only 2 months old.. so he must wait a year or two, but man the time flies!

Have a nice day guys and keep the chargers alive!

its good to see some and hear from people over there...i got family somewhere over there yet.

And with those prices of fuel...id look into a cheap car / moped to drive.....of course that dont help in the cold winters!

Hi guys,

Hi Carsten, was a nice meeting, only some heavy rain on sunday.

But its been a while since i was here but we also moved to another house so a bit busy it was the last month,
But the good thing here is the charger has his own space to store so it cant be hurt in his new home, its all for himself :2thumbs: also have another building here, its an horse stable that's gonna be converted to a place to wrench on it when necessary so more space here and that's what you need with car like this.

Just went back from a drive and man its great! gives me a big  ;D

Enne Dino woon je al lang aan de overkant?
Vroeger met vrienden ook vaak op de campings geweest aan zee, mooie tijd was dat!
Greets to you all!

Do some of you guys have some tips what we must see or must go for a good beer!?/ maybe speedshops or charger places

Thanks!

If you come to the midwest US you will be in Mopar heaven! However it is over 3,000 kilometers from Las Vegas to Indiana so we won't be looking for you. Enjoy your trip, make sure to see Monument Valley, Grand Canyon and if in COlorado the Great Sand Dunes. The car museum in Las Vegas is incredible too.

I have had a customer in Wall, Netherlands for many years (van Hout do beveer) and have visited your country many times for work, but have never seen a Mopar!

Enjoy your trip to the US!

Just you and your friend are going and you guys are renting a RV?Why not get some motorbikes or a muscle car and drive the wheels off of it?Isn't RV-ing for old people or for families? :nana:
By the way,you couldn't pick up a bell housing cover for me?

Joostdodge

Hi

No we dont gonna make it to the midwest, hope to do that the next time also wanna see the south some time, Man you guys live in a big country! ...
Monument vally and Sand Dunes we just added to oure list, Thanks! Also the car museum and speedshops in and around vegas we gonna stop by,
Grand Canyon we already have seen it 3 years ago, and was great.

We go from Vegas to the hoover dam, Also Flagstaff / kingman we wanna see and from there we see how it rolls but wanna take time to come out the RV and get the American feeling..
3 years ago was great also but we didnt take the time to enjoy to get out of it but just put a lot of miles on it.. was also great but wanna do it different this time.

Drive around with a muscle car sounds great but for 2 weeks i rather like to sleep in an RV and not 2 weeks in some crappy motels and hotels and its nice to have some cold drinks some space to trow oure stuff in it and a craphouse if needed....
After the 2 weeks we stay 4 nights in vegas at the Linq hotel and gonna rent a mopar and some motorbikes for a few days to drive around vegas and see some speedshops. Also wanne rent some Dune Buggys and go shooting, we are not gamblers so looking more for things to do next to the casinos.

Caveman, i need the room in my case for my charger parts already, cant bring much with it im sorry..

J.D.

There's Zion national park, only two hours away from Vegas.

That's a bit big and heavy for in a suitcase.
www.sixpackspeedshop.nl  ships a container from Florida to the Netherlands once a month.

Hey Joost, about 18 years ago I sold a green 70 Charger 500 to a guy in Rotterdam, it was restored and was green/green with a 383 4bbl auto.  Have you seen that one running around any?

I was just kidding!I know it's big and heavy that's why i asked him that!
I know that shop but thank you for letting me know!My problem is Holland is still 1400 km from me so shipping that cover is costly.

Enjoy your trip!We were on our honeymoon there for 6 weeks, just making our way from the west to the east.We drove from Las Vegas to The Monument valley through Route 66 and it was so much fun.Monument Valley is one and only place on Earth.
