i survived" the bomb"

 hi all after 4 days with no power or  drinking water with waist high flood  water all over , its starting to get a little normal   

   we just went through two and a half days/nights of the most intense weather some say in 80 years

           135 kmh(80+ mph) wind ripped off roofs and brought down trees everywhere , 300 mm(12 inch's ) of rain in 12 hours ( it rained nonstop for 2 days so was way more than this )  whole suburbs cut off for days . 5 dead 

            at least the cars were out of it( at storage fac.) , if they had of been here they would have been under water .   still have knee deep water covering most of the street and yard  2 days later

      its good to be able to contact outside world again       power came back on about an hour ago

what a difference a day can make  28* C (80*F) today suns out , waters gone . the harbour is up about 6 feet higher than usual but

if it wasn't for the trees/ mud  and flood damaged stuff every where you'd swear it was summer again , 110 % humidity not great but its got to dry out

thanks for the thoughts the house is fine I'm up in the air a few feet so only water that got in came through around  the front door (horizontal rain  )

        it WAS like the 19th century, in bed at dark nothing else to do only candle light  and freezing cold  was different to say the least

           that was supposed to be a once in 50 year storm so no-one was ready for it to repeat so soon
 
             we get some truly horrendous seas /storms there are over 300 shipwrecks within a 20 mile stretch of coast 

        the time before was 1974( sygna)
                                                             
                               

              normaly the storm is named after which ever unfortunate ship goes down during it this time no ship so "the bomb"
