NGK BCPR6ES spark plugs?

I've been running NGK XR5 (R5670-7 stock no. 2891) for quite a while now. With the Firecore RTR dizzy and change to CH4B intake with Proform 750 Street Series fresh plugs or a good cleaning of the XR5's is next before first start up.
I'm seeing the BCPR6ES recommended now quite a bit. Is that better for the Firecore RTR dizzy system or possibly for aluminum heads and the RTR or what? I've 346 iron heads on my 440 with Sidewinder heads coming later this year. (Also A/C.)  :scratchchin:
For convenience I've several sets of XR5's to swap out and picking up 8 BCPR6ES today just in case. Any experience with them, gap settings or info is greatly appreciated.

Neal,

The BCPR-6ES plugs are for an Edelbrock cylinder head and will not work with your 346's which use a non extended reach sparkplug. The 6ES's will work with the sidewinder heads, however.  :yesnod:

The XR5's are the go-to plug for factory heads (906/915/346/452) and pump gas compression...inmho  ;)

Thanks Ron, just got back from the store. These are needed for heads with angled plugs then, gotcha!  :2thumbs:

Angle has nothing to do with it.  It is simply the head design that dictates the reach of the plug
