I did some searches on here but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.

I am running 2" TTi headers and don't want to try to modify the stock kick down linkage

what is the best route to go, I am not sure what will work better:

1. do I go with the Lokar kick down and throttle cable
2. do I buy the longer throttle cable (like the one Rick Ehrenberg sells) and use the Lokar kickdown (will they work in conjunction)

the stock cable just isn't long enough

I did see that & downloaded the installation directions,it looks like a very nice kit  Although in my case it looks like it uses the real estate where I have the Turbo action shifter cable bolted to (I failed to mention that in my first post). I thought the Lokar having a different mounting location would be a lot of easier.

I will dispense with my usual tirade about the POS Lokar cable and advise you to use anything else.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks for the feedback I am gathering that you advise against both

note sure what options that will leave me, Ill keep searching

I run both Lokar Cables with their base plate......been working great.  You do have to put some thought into the ratio/ location of the mounting point of the kickdown location on the throttle body.  But anytime you start adding intakes/EFI and different heights, you will have to do that anyway.

Exactly, but the Lokar instructions fail to mention that.

for posterity I'd thought Id follow up. I went with the lokar knock off bracket and cables, Jegs had it all for right under $200 but I found the knock offs on eBay (something I usually don't do but cash is a bit tight) so far everything feels pretty good (only drove up and down the driveway).

I haven't got the car up to speed yet to see what the shift point are, however its an easy adjustment at the bracket it seems.
