I need both the left and right rear outer wheel housing for my 1967 Dodge Charger.  Companies are remaking them for 1968 and up but not 1966 or 67.  Does any one know of where I can find any good rust-free used ones?  Thanks!  rkcrump@mtco.com

Are you talking about the 1/4 panel sheet metal?

Yellow Charger

No, it is the outer rear wheel housing:  The metal that goes around the rear wheel opening.  Inner wheel housings are available, but I can not find the outer wheel housing for 66 or 67 Dodge Chargers which are the same.  The 1968 outer wheel housings are available, but are different.  I am willing to purchase the entire lower quarter panel and outer wheel housing as one unit if necessary.  I need both sides. Thanks!  rkcrump@mtco.com

Is it this part over the wheel well....or some other part......

I think good used ones might be the only option unless you luck into some NOS ones.  :shruggy:

I've have read over the years that guys have "massaged" 68 ones into the quarter and made them work but I have never seen it done so I can't speak from experience.
I know they don't list inner fenders for 66-7 either and the 68's will work with very little fussing involved, AGAIN, I'm told.
So either you look at a 68 and see if they compare and try or used.  But used ones are going to be rough no mater how hard you look for one.

If they haven't done exterior sheet metal, you are probably 100% on that.

AMD is busy developing panels for the Edel and Studebaker, when those finally come out they will start work on First Generation Charger pieces......  :D

Wingcar:  Yes, you have the correct picture of the outer wheel housing.

I can not attend the Carlisle show, but if anybody sees some rear outer wheel housings for a 67 Dodge Charger, give me a call (309-369-1213) and perhaps we can work out a deal.

The person in Vegas sold the rear quarters and outer wheel housings about 30 minutes before I called him this a.m.

Thanks!

It wasn't me

Desert Valley Auto probably has them, but be prepared for the $ticker $hock...

That's bad timing, I mean 30 minutes is way too close. Actually this guy was in Utah (St. George) but he had it listed in local Las Vegas CL. That's how I came acrossed it.

Sorry for your luck.

I have called about a dozen places and no one has these 67 rear outer wheel housings.  How much metal work would I need to do on a 68 rear outer wheel housing?  I can purchase new ones for a 68.  Thanks!

Yellow Charger

HELP!  I am still looking for the rear outer wheel housing for my 67 Dodge Charger.  I need both sides.  I have called about 10 places - nothing available.  Would it be a lot of work to fabricate a 68 into a 67 housing?
