Better hang on to yours a while now Jason. Once HLPG starts putting them on ebay, they'll be at least worth 100,000 :D

That eBay DMCL Charger replica looks close but not exact. Aside from the obvious 383 4speed not being a 440 console automatic, it needs the vinyl top trim, lose the headrests, and a different steering wheel. You could argue that he should take off the rear view mirror too, but I remember seeing it briefly in a couple scenes (like in the behind shot of passing the cop car that eventually goes through the billboard).

Okay, so who can find this location on google satellite maps?

http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=37.957192,-120.861969&spn=0.755792,1.2854&z=10

I've looked for quite a while around Stockton and Sonora, CA but have found nothing! It has to be there somewhere.

Have you found the drawbridge yet?

FastbackJon

Yeah, almost 2 years ago, it's back on page 2 about halfway down.

Oh man, that's way too far back to read through again.   Would it be logical to assume that most of the driving happened in the vicinity of the same waterway?  I've never been to the area so I have no idea how many rivers and canals are around there.

FastbackJon

Just look on the google satellite maps, you can see all the waterways and bridges. What I should do is trace the waterways that are big enough to drop a car into, and look for the bridge, the lack of trees/orchards and the buildings in the background, and use "my maps" to mark off all the locations I think it isn't.

Bird's eye view of present day "Dutton Flats".

How about this one Jon, can you locate the "Fairview Motor Apartments" from the beginning of the film where Deke picks up Larry?

FastbackJon

Maybe up Fairview lane in Sonora? Would make perfect sense seeing how after you see them leave the apartments, they are driving northeast up Stockton st towards the supermarket.

What do you guys think, does this look like the "Old 99 Junction"?

Cops were setup there and after the trick by Mary saying they were apprehended, they sped through in the Charger going west on Flood Rd?

Could be.  Was that also the location where the helicopter picked up Franklin or a different crossroad?

Yeah, but those are all fictional names, did the same corner serve both "locations" is my actual question.  Looks like I'm just going to be forced to watch it again huh?
