I get letters from the city all the time.

I have to keep my Charger in an enclosed garage.
I have 4 other cars, that have to move on the driveway, be taxed and tagged or I get a letter about them.
I have had 2 cars towed away so as not to be fined already.
The "good Neighbor" ordinances even say if the car is tagged, taxed, and moved, if there is something making it undrivable legally on a highway (busted light etc.) I can still get a letter.
Heck they dont even like you changing your own oil outside.
We even had letters for a cracked garage window, Water in a pool (yes you read correct) and downspouts that someone had knocked off.

So to really upset the neighbor that keep complaining... I got a donor car and gutted it on the driveway, and had it towed when he went to complain, I got the letter 2 days AFTER it was gone, so It made him look a fool.

the guy that mails out the complaints for the city, knows me well now, and calls me to warn me in advance !

Yeap, and all the while, the rest of your neighbors are "angelic" to say the least..........

up till like 3 years ago i had some neighbors who really didnt like my race cars. i have to admit i did not worry much about what they looked like, it was my hobby and i was going to enjoy them. so they would call and complain every time they could. i parked a minivan in the driveway for a couple weeks with no engine in it , the hood was on, nothing hanging down , no leaks ect.you could not tell it wasnt driveable unless you looked really close. i had gotten bumped from 45 to 58 hours per week and time to work on it got tight, so after a few weeks they call it in. i got the warning from the city ect..so i towed it away, and then parked a race car with all its tin stripped off and looking terible right in its place. now i live in a small town. when they wrote this ordanance about junk cars and having them towed ect they got all the towing operators in town to come to the meeting on how it would all be worked. all the towing companys in town are owned by racers so they made the town exempt race cars or they wouldnt take the towing contracts..my neighbors were really upset having this ugly racecar in the place where a nice looking van had just ben and they couldnt do anything about it .....sometimes people dont think these things through lol

I hear ya Troy,I will have to look out for the same thing when I do the move to NC. but I won't look at a place with less than two acres and preferably more.I've been in the country all my life and couldn't stand the idea of someone else telling me what color I can paint my house and what day I can mow the lawn. :icon_smile_angry: Seems like there are a lot of people with to much time on their hands and nothing to occupy their minds except to screw with you.
