here in Australia we have just had a 25 year old  man that married a 13 year old charged with 26 counts of predatory behaviour for having sex with his new "wife" 26 time during the 26 days they were married , the father has been charged and convicted (12 years)  with procuring a minor for sex  

        so   how old was Priscilla when she got married to the "king " ?   was that  predatory behaviour ?

We need to (in this day of political correctness ) give proper recognition to all groups. After all if they breathe and poop they are people.

We are moving toward a more tolerant view of all cultures and religious practices. At least that seems to be the trend.

Who are we to question or judge what others in this world find to be acceptable? Human sacrifice for example?  We see this today as we have for thousands of years.

Two very good questions are.----What is right vs wrong?  And what is good vs bad?

My upbringing was without an imposed voice in my ear. I feel comfortable with my understanding about right vs wrong and good vs bad.

As I see it the only way we can live as closely as we do with the diversity we have is to suspend activities that harm others. Where that doesn't happen there will be a battle.  

BTW I verified the spelling of that word "pederasty" by looking it up in the dictionary instead of google.  I guess I hear too much about our google searches becoming part of our life history.  This is a tough world to navigate.

Of course too, you can't really call 13 year olds little girls or little boys anymore when they are stealing at gun point, stealing cars, murdering and raping each other and doing more drugs then most adults now a days (yes that is all happening in Milwaukee). I was talking to someone a few months ago about how 13 is the new 18/20 year olds because of they way they act. I am sure we all know people over 40, that act like they are 15 yet. And most of us forget, the USA is the only country in the world where you have to be 18 to be considered a adult. Most are 16 years old. A few countries are even 14. And it has been that way for ever. They don't seem to have no issues with it. A lot of this thinking we do here is because of they way we were raised. I am not saying it is right or wrong, just saying it is a point of view as to who should get along with who. I have never dated a girl under 18, yet I usually date women 10 to 20 years younger because I seem to get along with them better then women with in 5 years of my age. I work with a guy that him and his wife are in their mid 50's, and all of their friends are in their mid 20's to 40 or so. In my family, there was a lot of big age gaps in it too. My grandmother was 10 years older then my grandpa. He was still in high school when they met. They married around 1940.

IMO there is a difference between being attracted to a fully-developed teenager who is under the legal age, versus a pre-puberty child.  Both are inappropriate but IMO the law should make some distinction between the two.  17yo and 7yo aren't the same situation. 

Adults attracted to children are scarier.  They are doing more damage and more likely to repeat-offend.  No mature partner can satisfy that urge by definition.  13yo is pretty borderline for this distinction, though.  Depends on the case.
